Read More My experience began upon arrival at my home by the movers that metro hop hired. I had already reduced my items to move significantly and yet they raised the price another 1,300. They claimed that metrohop had not properly estimated the items. They delayed delivery to my new home. And jacked up the delivery price another 800. They lost 4 of my totes. And damaged several of the totes they did deliver. They avoided accountability for lost and damaged items due to their brokerage status there is no accountability or communication.

Read More Absolutely the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. I booked my move from Dillon, CO to Noblesville, IN through Metro Hop Relocation LLC, but the experience was a nightmare from start to finish. I was quoted $4,294.60, but my final bill ballooned to $6,623.86, even after we agreed on changes to the items being moved. No proper explanation or documentation was provided for the huge increase. The movers arrived in a truck labeled “Seven Hills,” which was confusing since the move was supposed to be handled by Best Moving Service. The lead mover even said he was there for a “Craigslist move,” despite the broker promising that the movers were bonded and insured. I was promised a phone call before arrival but only received a text message 30 minutes beforehand. My home and belongings were seriously damaged: The movers caused such severe damage to my walls that I can literally see through my staircase into the unfinished basement. My leather chair was ruined. None of the furniture was reassembled as promised, even though I paid for setup. When I reached out to the broker, Steven, he completely stopped responding after I made the initial payment. When I called the office, the representative I spoke to was rude and dismissive. I have photos documenting all the damage and have repeatedly asked for copies of the signed paperwork, as well as a call back from a supervisor. I’ve been ignored at every turn. This company was unprofessional, misleading, and careless with both my belongings and my home. I will be disputing the charges and pursuing further action if necessary. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere for a reputable, transparent moving company.

Read More I signed the contract to move my daughter from Colorado to Indiana. The salesman was Sonny. I could tell he was in a rush when I spoke to him, but he wanted his commission check. The contract said apartment stairs 3rd floor. They came and loader her out. Then they said they need another $1000.00 because of the stairs and they used some tape and other moving materials. The boxes were large Rubbermaid totes no tape was needed. They wait to get the truck loaded and hold you hostage until you pay the extra $1000.00 this was below the minimum move. Sonny and this company are bad people.

They quoted me a price and set me up with a mover. THE PRICE CHANGED WHEN THE MOVERS ARRIVED. THE MOVING COMPANY WAS "NOT" WHO METRO HOP said it would be. Once they get your money, you get no response from them other than to say "we don't have another mover for you" and "the price WON'T change". They lie to you, take your money, set you up with the cheapest moving company and then won't pick up the phone to help you after that has happened. The moving company was CITA VAN LINES. This was the absolute worst move ever! They lost my 50" tv and I have other people's items in my boxes, not to mention I am missing numerous items. Metro Hop won't take responsibility at all! They assured me they would not allow a price change. They told me the moving company was a 5 star company. I was lied to! There is a guy named "Max" there. Once you give them money, you can't get through to this person. TESSA is the one who answers for the entire company. Based on 2 emails and 3 phone calls, I believe this company consists of "maybe" 3 people - one of those may be the same person acting as the one I initially spoke with. All of these people seem to lie and scam. I am reporting this company and the moving company to the Florida AG, Missouri AG and Texas AG.

Read More I DO NOT RECOMMEND using this company. The cost of my move was approximately $6000 (give or take). Pick-up: The movers attempted to gauge the cost via adding on $100 for a television box. I tried to explain I was informed the box was $75 and stated to the mover, let me call customer service to confirm. The guy in charge of the movers immediately, unprofessionally bossed up and said the cost is $100 and if you disagree, we can leave. He gave me an ultimatum and threatened to leave. I called Metro Hop Relocation customer service several times, but they saw my number on caller ID and did not answer. At this point, they had $2640 of my paid and non-refundable deposit on hand. I felt so disrespected and dismissed and began to cry due to the emotional stress by the unprofessional comments, threats to leave and customer service failing to answer and returning my call. Prior to pick-up, customer service always answered my call and returned them. Upon Delivery, the first incident is the mover was standing on my recently purchased coffee table to reach items inside the truck. I asked him not to stand on my table, and he apologized. The table is wobbling from the weight of them standing on the table. I'm sure, the moves used my table as equipment to load items onto the truck prior to me witnessing them doing so. Other Items such as bike, paintings and parts from my bed is missing. The movers dis-assembled my bed but upon arrival, 6 missing parts prevented the movers to assemble my bed. As of today, my bed cannot be assembled. I'm reaching out to where I purchased my bed and hopefully, the parts are available. In the meantime, I have other choice but sleep on the sofa. This experience was stressful and lost. I'm sick to my stomach knowing I paid so much for this move only to experience to above-mentioned. Anyone giving this company more than 1 star is and probably work for them.

When they got there tried to upcharge almost 2k dollars. Told them to move what we paid for which was about 8 things. Called metro hop to ask what happened, and they said I needed to call the company they put me in touch with. No help at all. Look at BBB and they have similar bad moves, $2500 dollars to move hardly nothing. Tried calling the moving company after speaking with them, and they were no help, said how did I know it wasn't 300 sq ft of stuff they moved.

Like many of the reviews stated they say one thing and do any another. This is a terrible moving company. They assured me that the quote they gave me was all-inclusive but on moving day, they asked extra for this and that. Once you sign the dotted line you never hear from Mr. Jonathan Marks. ironically enough he & this company blew my phone up when they wanted my business. But it's been crickets ever since. My 12-4pm pick up window turned into a 930pm pick up time on a Tuesday. Do you think anyone apologized? Do you think anyone told me before and? No & No. Have I heard from customer service ? nope. Jonathan Marks who constantly text and called me? nope. Never and I menn NEVER will I use this company. I advise everyone to keep looking. And dont listen to JONATHA MARKS or anyone associated with him or this broker company. Frauds Liars Scammers !

Please be aware that this company does not pay for or provide actual moving services — the fee you pay goes strictly to brokerage coordination only. Unfortunately, my 75-year-old mother, who is alone, was misled over the phone and believed the fee she paid covered the entire move. She used nearly her entire rent money under the impression that she was paying for full moving services. When the movers arrived, she was told she needed to pay $2,000 upfront and another $2,000 upon delivery — something she was never informed of beforehand. To make matters worse, they told her that essential items like her bed would not be delivered for at least two weeks. Realizing she could not afford these unexpected charges, the movers left — leaving her in a complete crisis the day before she had to move. When we contacted the company to explain the situation, we were told the deposit was non-refundable. Taking advantage of an elderly woman in this way is absolutely unacceptable. Please think twice before using this service.

Read More Usually I dread moving, but Metro Hop Relocation LLC completely changed the game! Their customer service was exceptional, answering all my questions patiently and thoroughly. The on-site crew went above and beyond. They also disassembled a tricky swing set and put it back together perfectly at the new house. They really cared about our belongings and made the whole experience stress-free.
