They are not the movers, third party. They first quoted me for $3200. Made a down payment of $1200, then a second payment of $2000. The day of the move, a different compa ... Read More They are not the movers, third party. They first quoted me for $3200. Made a down payment of $1200, then a second payment of $2000. The day of the move, a different company showed up and said I still owed $6000. After some back and forth, and me showing I already paid, I found out Menards Moving & Storage is just the middleman. And the "down payment" should not have been that high. The movers show receipts from others with down payments ranging from $500-1000. On the call with Menards Moving & Storage, they threatened to sue me if I tried to dispute the charges and cussed me out when I said I was canceling the move. They also said the move would take 12 to 14 days, when I was originally told 3-5 days. The movers said this was the second time that day that this had happened. I moved my own stuff under $3500.
