Read More THE TERRIBLE MOVERS! With this firm, I had the worst experience ever. On the day of the relocation, they arrived an hour late and didn't depart until after midnight. They took five hours longer than they had first informed us. In the living room and family room, they didn't position furniture in the appropriate locations, so we had to move everything ourselves again. Joseph, the owner, said it wasn't their responsibility when some furniture was broken. Then he said that because it took them longer than anticipated, he had to charge us $1000 extra (like 5 hours). He never stopped talking about how "things happen," etc. You visited my home, looked at all of my furnishings, and now you call yourself an expert??

A mover in front of us shattered a dresser drawer when a drawer slipped from his grasp while he was skipping (yep, skipping). A chest that is one of our treasured possessions was then scraped up. Because the staff neglected to bring the necessary hardware to the residence, a bookshelf could not be put back together. I believe Johnson, the team leader, promised to return the following day, so I waited all day for a call informing me that he had returned with the hardware and had put the bookshelf back together. He returned the day after I phoned corporate, but only after finishing up at another site and arriving hours later than expected.

We had a few damaged items, one of which the mover was honest about, but we didn't realize our broken bed frame was broken until we tried to hang it on the wall. Additionally, they poured dirt on the old house's floor without cleaning it up. Although moving took a long time and several things were broken, overall we are relocated. IMO, it's not the best bargain. Located additional shattered parts!! I was informed that I had instructed the movers to leave the floor dirty. The four-person team reportedly skipped lunch throughout their 10.5-hour shift. The business made contact and presented itself as eager to find a solution. I was required to fill out several claim forms. After all this, they have been silent for at least two weeks!!!

Read More Because certain objects (such as the file bin) weren't on the list, they made holes in the wall and didn't pack every piece of furniture. Instead of pulling my treadmill apart a little further, they completely scratched it in several places while attempting to move it upstairs. Instead of taking their time to lay down a drop cloth, they dragged the treadmill over the floor and damaged it. The furniture was partially put together. A computer desk that I had nearly fallen apart due to loose bolts. Although they worked quickly and completed sooner than expected, they still overcharged me. I believe they took advantage of me since I am a woman and was alone myself. The headman was quite unpleasant and unwelcoming and was agitated the entire time. The opposing crew was friendly. I would never suggest anyone use this moving company. I have previously relocated five times, and I have never encountered anything like this!!!

Never believe the excuse they tell you that they only charge for what you have to attempt to save you money. They generate income in this manner. When the workers came to take up our belongings, they pretended to be helping us by loading a few mirrors into some large boxes they had, but then they smacked us with a $250 bill for supplies and packing. They had estimated that we had 150 crates altogether. It was absurd to think that we could know before their guys left that every box and item had been accounted for. Once more, the "insurance" we purchased was useless!!!

Meaning I would have had to pay more upon my furniture arriving g at my new home. When I called to cancel I received a phone call from one of the employees from their personal cell phone telling me that I would owe more when my furniture was delivered because the list of items that I originally gave the rep was more suare footage than what I was quoted. I still have not received my refund even though I canceled within the contract perimeter. Horrible company!! Especially to rip off a single disabled female trying to get home to her children so they can help care for me. !!!
