Read More My husband got a new job in DC and we had to relocate rather abruptly. This entire process is incredibly hectic. I spoke to so many companies that were rude and pushy. American Way took their time with me and made this a much easier experience. They were patient and fair with me and put my mind at ease, I had to add some items with quality assurance and it made everything accurate on move day. Eeveryone was careful and respectful, I couldn't recommend them more

Read More They were great from the beginning. I got bombarded with phone calls and messages from other companies who were really rude to me. It was incredibly stressful to begin with, moving sucks. Very grateful I ended up speaking to american way, they really tailored the experience to my unique situation. Explained how the whole process worked and took care of my stuff like it was theirs when move day came. Thanks fellas

Read More This is the fourth move that I've done in my life, I've moved three times in the past and I've had a tough experience all three times. Chris and Danny we're incredibly patient with me, answered all my questions, and didn't pressure me to do anything I was uncomfortable with. I was nervous, and they put me at ease. The process was much more thorough than it had been in the past and they took the time to work with me and personalize my move. This was incredibly stressful to begin with and American way made it a smooth transition into a new life in California. My belongings arrived in just over 10 days and I was moving across the country. I hope I never have to move again but if I do I'd use call them every time.

Read More I don't understand what all the negative reviews are about, my experience with american way was nothing like that. I submitted a request for a quote and got flooded with phone calls and american way was the second company I spoke to after the first one was incredibly rude. The guy Danny I dealt with explained the process as I was unfamiliar with the moving business and I was told it's all about the space I am quoted for. He explained extra charges and the possibility that I could pay more if more space was used on the truck. I decided to add generic space to the estimate to compensate fr items I may have forgot or for items that fit unevenly. I'm glad I did that because I needed it. They answered the phone when I called and helped me to understand how all of this works. I'll never move again but if I did I'd call em

Read More Worst experience! During the move multiple items was badly scratched, dented, broken, missing shelves for TV-stand. Claim manager was, rude, unapologetic, degrading. They just don't care and would not take responsibility. DISGUSTING.

Read More The most unprofessional moving company, I have ever seen. They spent ridiculous amount of time wrapping my “ikea” furniture with stretch film although I asked them not to do it number of times. They did everything to spend extra 2 - 3 hours. When we came for drop off, they stayed 10 mins more to charge me for extra half an hour. On top of these, my 2 accessories were broken. Shortly don’t hire with them if you don’t want to waste your money.

We are in the process of suing them for breaking federal laws pertaining to the laws of moving companies.

The absolute WORST moving experience EVER!!! The team this company sent out were kids with no experience whatsoever. Two barely 18 year old boys and one 20 year old. The ... Read More The absolute WORST moving experience EVER!!! The team this company sent out were kids with no experience whatsoever. Two barely 18 year old boys and one 20 year old. The 20 year old was combative at every step of the move. I specifically hired this company because they had said they knew how to wrap and pack grandfather clocks. When the boys arrived, none of them had ever packed one. My mother, a friend and I did it ourselves as best we could. They just threw furniture in without wrapping or even covering with blankets. I was told from the owner who came out to do a walkthrough that it would take 2 and 1/2 hours tops to fill the truck up. Those boys were so slow it took 5 hours! It cost me triple the price I was quoted and on top of that they came unprepared- no tape! What packing company shows up in a huge ( not to mention ugly) truck with no tape, no paper, no boxes just in case!!???!!! I called a manager to get a team out who knew what they were doing but he came and said they were doing “just fine” and left!!!! BEWARE BEWARE!!!
