Read More Do yourself a favor and avoid these people at all costs. They didn’t listen to me at all and made me wait by their parked truck for hours so they wouldn’t get a ticket while they were up in my apartment unattended being super super slow, moving my stuff. It took them over eight hours (not joking) to move a studio apartment. I’ve moved over 25 times in my life and it was the longest and most careless move I have ever encountered. Usually it takes movers about one and a half hours each way. they broke some of my stuff and they had no idea what they were doing. I found my couch to be discolored after they moved it and falling apart. I found countless scratches on my furniture, and they just handled everything really carelessly. At the end of the day, they blamed me for how long it took, but I was just standing out by the truck most of the time. Totally not worth your time or money.

Read More If you are a girl moving by yourself, please do not use these guys. I was threatened by the mover, alone with him in my apartment if I didn't tip him $500 in cash (my move was quoted 1k). I told him I had $200 on me. He told me to go to the ATM and get more cash out. I was scared for my life at this point, so I emptied out my bank account for this mover, only for him to run out of my apartment leaving much of his moving supplies behind. I contacted Dumbo Moving and never received a response.

Read More This place was horrible they sent two guys and it took them hours just to move my things which wasn’t much. Then the guy left my air conditioners unattended and someone took both of them and then told me it wasn’t his fault and the company did nothing. They kept trying to get money out of me and handled my belongings aggressively. they got there at 10 and it took them so many hours they asked me to help. Then said something about giving him a better tip if he tells them i only have one recliner. They are scammers and I would never in life book with this unprofessional company they are trash!!! Never book with people who have 2 movers and leave your belongings to be stolen. Whomever walter is he claimed it was nothing no one could do and it’s not the companies fault the mover left my things unattended

Read More The things these guys promise during sales Vs the actual moving experience is poles apart. I had initially planned to go with hourly package to move heavy furniture as well as fragile items. For rest of the items, I was planning to move on my own. I called them to the quotes for hourly rates. Their sales team convinced me to go for a full day package, promised multiple trips and told that all the entire stuff in the house will be moved comfortably. So I went ahead with that, falling for these sweet salesy promises... I had told the exact location of the house with stairs and floor details Cut to the actual day of the move, their crew shows up and starts taking smaller boxes and counts upto 15 (this did not even cover the living room)!!! After first 15, they start complaining that there are so many boxes, stairs are extra, we count only 4 stairs as 1 floor and the list goes on... I called up the Dumbo team, and their support guy arrogantly tells me to cancel the move.. There is no sync between actual moving crew and the office guys... The crew only moved the furniture on the list, that too I had to point out multiple times.. At this point, I literally started to moving my boxes and most of the stuff from other two rooms on my own.. Horrible experience to say the least! I can go on and on for the entire day about my experience.. These guys know that you are stuck, you have already made the payment and are committed to making the move in your head.. They are exploiting customers and showing absolute unprofessional attitude!! Never ever going to suggest or refer to anyone.. 1 star I gave is for the effort from the crew and I would give minus stars for the company!!! Please don't go with them for your move !!!!!

Read More This company was an absolute nightmare to deal with beginning to end. I would never, ever ever recommend them to anyone. When I finished moving day, I went to a graduation event at a local school and spoke with others about my experience. “Oh did they do the scam where the truck was 3/4 of the way full and charge you extra?” “Oh did they take your deposit and tell you it was going to cost much more than you were quoted?” I began to realize that my personal experience was no more than scams used on everyone to shakedown all customers. When everyone head asked who I’d used and I said “Dumbo Moving and Storage” people would groan and say, “I’m so sorry, they are the absolute worst!” On top of it they are both frustratingly uncommunicative and unashamedly rude. Moving is generally stressful and Dumbo Moving and Storage made each step of the process actually way worse than it had to be. Having moved many times in my life and familiar with the process I would say find anyone else before using this company. Working in the real estate industry I will be telling EVERYONE to stay far far away.

Read More Similar to what someone else mentioned on here, they left a few things out of my list and said they had absolutely no room left in their huge truck. Mind you I had no furniture apart from a mattress, desk, and ottoman. But they refused to take another ottoman, coffee table, and a few more boxes. I essentially had to convince them into taking my rug which was on the list. I chose them because they were the cheapest option but you’re getting what you’re paying for. They show up too early and left 2 hours early even though I needed more help. They made my move more difficult, I’m still moving stuff hours later.
