Read More Andrew and his team did an amazing job during my recent move. Throughout the entire process, the personnel handled my belongings with efficiency and consideration. Furniture assembly and disassembly went smoothly due to the movers' professionalism. Throughout the whole 4.5-hour procedure, from booking the appointment and receiving an estimate to the actual relocation, the service was hi-end.

Read More I’m a widowed single mom on one income who rented a UHaul trailer to move from CO to RI and realized the day of the move, my items wouldn’t all fit in the trailer. I wasn’t bringing any furniture and there was only a tiny amount of stuff, but they were essentials. In a panic, I looked for same-day last minute movers. The following unfolded: I was sold something that was a huge misrepresentation by United Express, who called me after I started Google searching. They never told me they were brokers. The rep kept talking about "their drivers." Andrew specifically verbalized things to me that were apparently not in the contract I ended up signing. The only reason I signed with them is because they told me my items would be at my house, "500 miles a day, four days." I knew it would take me four days to drive my trailer from CO to RI, so this was perfect. I have not used movers before, so I am naive to the expectation. Additionally, I was told they had to charge me for the amount of a "studio apartment," as it is the "minimum they can charge,” even though I only had about 15 medium boxes and one sofa table. So, I agreed to $1,500 for that. Being that I am an honorable person who has owned a small business and never misrepresented my own business, I breezed over the contract they sent and signed it in a panic, so I could get same-day service and specifically so my stuff could get to my new home when I did. It included all of my bathroom toiletries and most of my kids’ clothes, as these were the last items packed, since we were using them until our move. That was foolish of me. Since they are brokers, when the actual moving company showed up to move my stuff, it turned out to be even more expensive than the amount I agreed to, and which as a single mom, I was already struggling with. The contract from United Express was written in a small amount of cubic feet and then says, in parentheses next to cubic feet, 2002 lbs of stuff. Apparently, my 15 boxes and sofa table (which is about three feet long and 8 inches wide), was over the cubic feet, so I ended up paying an additional $400 to the actual moving company. It’s been a week and my stuff is arriving today, not in the four days. I feel blessed it’s even getting here this fast, because apparently four days WAS A LIE and movers can take up to 21 days for a 2,000 mi trip like we made. I called United Express yesterday and spoke to Elisa G, because I am disgusted with their business and I want the $600 they charged me to apparently just lie to me and call another moving company, back. I told her I feel scammed. She told me I was over my cubic feet and I won’t be getting my money back, since I signed the contract. I mentioned the 2,002 lbs in parentheses and she said the weight means nothing. I told her what Andrew represented to me and she told me I was lying and a rep would never make those kinds of promises. When I said I would have one of the many attorneys I know pull records, since all calls are recorded, I was told, "Well actually, verbal contracts don't count." So, yeah. Don’t use this company. I’m debating how much of a pain I want to be to get my $600 back. I’m sure it will cost me more in the long run to push for it, but I’m so upset, kinda feels worth it.

Read More Andrew and his crew picked up and delivered 2 tree-shaped bookshelves safely to our client’s house in SD. We were very grateful to them for booking our request on short notice since the company we typically contacted wasn’t available to accommodate us. But we’re very thankful to them for not only being flexible but also ensuring that they delivered the items intact to their destination. Plus, they came in very affordably as well. We cannot recommend them enough!

Read More My first move with United Express Moving & Storage movers went smoothly. Carl arrived a few minutes before 9 am on moving day with his crew. They did a quick inspection of my house and then quickly started packing. They boxed up my valuables within 8 hours and delivered them safely to my apartment by 7 pm. I wholeheartedly recommend them!
