The hardest part was our chicken coop in the backyard. Swift Shift Van Lines helped move it carefully and even made sure the panels stayed together. It was an odd job, but the movers completed it in no time.
Despite providing an accurate listing of all our box numbers and furniture, Swift Shift Van Lines tried charging us nearly double the original estimated price, even though our original and moving day inventories were almost identical. We were disappointed by their inaccurate cost estimation, which caused twice as much financial stress on moving day. Regarding their delivery process, we received inconsistent information from different representatives at Swift Shift Van Lines: 1) In the initial phone call, we were told that the average delivery time is 3-5 days after pickup. 2) On the moving day, the mover said delivery could occur in 3 days. 3) One day after pickup, another representative said delivery would occur in 1-5 business days. 4) In the last email communication, another representative informed us that delivery would take 5-15 business days. As of today, it is Day 5 after the pickup, and we still have no information regarding the delivery. If you don't want to experience difficult times in an empty apartment without your belongings, do NOT work with Swift Shift Van Lines.
I moved out of a shared house after my roommate situation changed. Some stuff was mine, some wasn’t, and it was all kind of tangled together. The movers were patient and kept asking what should be taken and what should be left behind. It helped avoid any confusion or missing items. I could tell they’ve handled tricky setups before. It made a stressful day go a lot smoother.
I highly recommend Swift Shift Van Lines. We were moving my son into a 3rd-floor dorm at State University. Parking was a nightmare, but they handled it. William and his partner carried that mini-fridge and the trunk full of textbooks up all those stairs. They were fast and friendly with all the students moving in around us. Made a chaotic day much smoother for us parents.
This move was for a home library. Floor-to-ceiling bookcases and hundreds of books. The movers removed shelves and stacked books flat. They grouped the series together without me asking. Shelves were wrapped and labeled. At delivery, everything went back up in the same order. I did not have to sort titles again. That saved me days of work.
I hired them to just move my oversized, heavy safe. That’s it. Most companies said no or quoted a crazy price. Swift Shift Van Lines said, "Sure, we do that." They brought the right equipment, moved it from my basement to my new basement office, and bolted it down for me. They didn’t mind that it was a weird, small job. They just did it perfectly.
I want to give Swift Shift Van Lines a 5-star review. They went above and beyond to help my family move. The crew was very professional and made sure everything went smoothly. There were four of us in all. I haven't worked with such a committed and diligent team in years. They made us feel at home immediately, and they were really careful with our belongings. In addition, the packaging was top-notch.
It was a real pleasure to spend time with people who were so kind and helpful. My grandfather's antiques were carefully packed and sent quickly, which said a lot. Also, their service was great.
