The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. Communication was inconsistent, and the entire process felt poorly managed. I expected a much higher level of service.
I was nervous about moving my family heirlooms, especially the delicate china cabinet that’s been in the family for generations. Swift Shift Van Lines team was thoughtful. They wrapped each piece of china in foam sleeves, layered it with extra bubble wrap, and even double-taped the boxes to make sure nothing would move during transit. Watching them handle my heirlooms with such care reassured me. The cabinet arrived in perfect condition, and it felt as though they knew how important it was to me.
Moving can be challenging, but John and the team made it a breeze! They arrived prepared, and Charles quickly assessed the situation. Even though I packed in a hurry, they reviewed everything and found the best way to load the vehicle.
I had a good experience with the movers. They were very helpful, hard working and cared for our furniture. Communications leading up to the move was clear, but I would have liked to have had a more specific arrival time. No major problems with delivery.
The hardest part was our chicken coop in the backyard. Swift Shift Van Lines helped move it carefully and even made sure the panels stayed together. It was an odd job, but the movers completed it in no time.
My experience went safely and satisfactorily with these movers. They do their job right, hiring them again soon for the next shifting help. I would absolutely use them again!
Despite providing an accurate listing of all our box numbers and furniture, Swift Shift Van Lines tried charging us nearly double the original estimated price, even though our original and moving day inventories were almost identical. We were disappointed by their inaccurate cost estimation, which caused twice as much financial stress on moving day. Regarding their delivery process, we received inconsistent information from different representatives at Swift Shift Van Lines: 1) In the initial phone call, we were told that the average delivery time is 3-5 days after pickup. 2) On the moving day, the mover said delivery could occur in 3 days. 3) One day after pickup, another representative said delivery would occur in 1-5 business days. 4) In the last email communication, another representative informed us that delivery would take 5-15 business days. As of today, it is Day 5 after the pickup, and we still have no information regarding the delivery. If you don't want to experience difficult times in an empty apartment without your belongings, do NOT work with Swift Shift Van Lines.
I am happy to give a solid 5 stars for the service provided. They helped me get all 3 of my storage units emptied and consolidated into one shipment, which saved me a lot of time and extra effort.
Even though I had only a mattress and a few boxes to move, the crew treated me like their most valued customer. For my small task, they were thorough and took no shortcuts. Their expertise was greatly appreciated.
Last-minute moving stressed me because I had no time to plan. Swift Shift Van Lines arranged the process quickly without making it complicated. They packed items securely, loaded the truck in one trip, and delivered on time.
