We had rain on moving day. The movers covered my sofa and chairs in plastic, so nothing got wet. Everything stayed dry. I really appreciated their preparation and care. I’d recommend them.
Swift Shift Van Lines has the best customer service of any moving company. In the past, they've helped me a lot. I have a lot of respect for them. Not only did they not overcharge me, but they also did not break or lose any of my things during the move.
I had a great experience with this moving service. The workers were kind and very organized. They handled my furniture with care and stayed focused. The move was done earlier than planned, which made me happy.
I’ve moved several times before, but this was the first time I felt completely stress-free. The crew from this company was at the top of their game the whole way through. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and even helped arrange the furniture in my new Office after delivery (without any extra charges). Their professionalism was unrivalled and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!
They are a very professional company to do the move with as my high-rise move had a lot of problems to deal with but Swift Shift Van Lines solved them all. They organized the use of the elevator, they packed up the truck in an efficient manner and they got all of it done in record time. Absolutely fantastic!
I hired them to just move my oversized, heavy safe. That’s it. Most companies said no or quoted a crazy price. Swift Shift Van Lines said, "Sure, we do that." They brought the right equipment, moved it from my basement to my new basement office, and bolted it down for me. They didn’t mind that it was a weird, small job. They just did it perfectly.
These movers made my move a good experience, and they had a fair price. The crew was friendly and polite. I recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable moving company.
Right after signing the contract we were funneled off to subcontractors. One in New York and another for delivery in North Carolina. The subcontractors who did the pick up swindled my son out of an additional $363.75 saying more than our 300 cubic feet was used because they couldn't stack boxes on top of furniture. However, when the moving truck arrived in North Carolina, all of the boxes were stacked on furniture in the back of the truck. Second, we paid for packing and unpacking but the guy who delivered was by himself and said he didn't have time to unpack anything. Therefore, we are owed 1/2 of the $300 packing fee.
This is a perfect circumstance for me. They were pleasant to work with, showed up when they said they would, and got the job done fast but efficiently.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
