The excellent job the movers performed packing my belongings astounded me, but what really won me over was the fact that they double-checked everything, I've never been so amazed before.
Swift Shift Van Lines was suggested to me, and they delivered as promised. The service I received from Michael from the first call through the estimate and moving day was outstanding. The week before, he made sure I was doing okay, which was reassuring. And on that potentially tense day, he and another person kept things lighthearted and even comical. They were cheerful, and the rain was of no concern to them. Much appreciation, everyone!
Moving from a little two-bedroom flat wasn’t difficult. The movers were punctual for both the delivery and the pick-up. In few hours, they wrapped and cushioned our furniture and loaded the vehicle. We observed their meticulous handling of our belongings and how they went through several doors to reach the car while we were there. The relocation coordinator, Christopher, always answered our questions with patience and promptness.
We had rain on moving day. The movers covered my sofa and chairs in plastic, so nothing got wet. Everything stayed dry. I really appreciated their preparation and care. I’d recommend them.
If I could give negative stars I would. Cameron the sales jerk was charming but a total liar. Gave us our estimate and assured me multiple times I had plenty if room left. Then the confirmation call came where I removed a chair, a desk, a chest of drawers, nightstand and full mattress. I wanted to add 5 medium boxes. They wanted another $1500. After arguing with the person to explain that to me he said “u can take off items if you want but your estimate won’t go down “. I tried to again explain that is not what my question is I said how is it going up with 5 boxes and bulky things removed ? Finally I said you get no more money leave it as is. We ended up throwing out tons of stuff last minute. Movers showed up at 5 at night. Loaded us quickly and off they went. 9 days later we are at our new home waiting for our things and after multiple phone calls find out it’s in Colorado. We are in Wisconsin. They said they have 21 days to deliver in the contract. Cameron neglected to point that out in our hour plus initial conversation. We called 3 days ago and told we were told we would receive a call in 2 days with a delivery date. Obviously not. The person today was so hard to understand my husband hung up. We have spent over $4000 and have no clothes except what we packed no furniture no dishes. No bedding truly a sham !!!! Wish I would have stopped to read reviews first. They actually told us our price was so much because no one wants to come to Wyoming.
Working with this firm was a delight from start to finish. Moving may be a very tiring experience. Jack and his crew were punctual, pleasant, and professional throughout the project. Not only would I utilize this firm again, but I would also recommend it to others.
My upright freezer was the hardest part of my state-to-suburbs move. The movers wrapped it in plastic to keep fingerprints off the surface and strapped it tightly in the truck. After setting it up in the utility room, I plugged it in, and it hummed like normal. It looked the same as before the move, spotless.
The Jack group was prompt and well-prepared for the transfer. It is because of Kevin that all of my household goods made it to my new home safely and without a scratch. Their work is of exceptional quality, and they pay close attention to every detail.
Movers were concerned about their safety during the epidemic. Hand sanitizer was provided to each mover and they worked so professionally and cheerfully as a team. It was a commendable move.
Our representative walked us through the entire process, and there were no surprises He made sure, we did an accurate inventory and they were responsive and available for us at all times.
