Moving can be challenging, but John and the team made it a breeze! They arrived prepared, and Charles quickly assessed the situation. Even though I packed in a hurry, they reviewed everything and found the best way to load the vehicle.
Alex and his team have my highest praise. Absolutely everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. They were all really nice and courteous. I had no doubt that my stuff would be secure.
So my move was complicated because my new place has a really narrow hallway. I warned them about it when they got here. The guys just nodded, measured it, and figured out a plan on the spot. They angled my bookcase perfectly and got it through without a scratch on the wall or the furniture. I was amazed.
I was lied to from the beginning by Nicole Jones. I specifically asked if they were brokers, I was assured they have their own movers and trucks. MAP movers showed up. Neither moving men spoke English, one could barely see so I had to fill out my own billing paperwork having no idea what I was doing. They arrived at 530 pm and didn't finish until after midnight. All kinds of extra charges amounting to several thousand dollars over my initial bill. Jordan at swift shift was dismissive of me during a call to update my items to be moved. He never officially updated my list so the movers charged me extra for everything Jordan failed to add to my list. I can not get a delivery date from anyone. So I have no idea when my things will be arriving. I have emailed repeatedly with no response. Just a mess. Moving cross country is already stressful, but I couldn't have chosen a worse moving company to deal with.
Moved into an apartment building with strict rules, so I thought the day would get messy. This crew from Swift Shift Van Lines sorted things out with the building staff and kept the work moving without delays. They used the right entry area and worked through the shared spaces without creating trouble. The team stayed focused and didn’t slow down once they started.
The delivery took considerably longer than I was told it would. I had very little information while waiting and had to contact the company for updates. This made it difficult to organize my day. Overall, the experience was frustrating.
I want to give Swift Shift Van Lines a 5-star review. They went above and beyond to help my family move. The crew was very professional and made sure everything went smoothly. I was thoroughly impressed at how efficiently the moving crew tackled the challenge of transporting things to a high-rise apartment (on the 5th floor). Since the elevator was out due to power outage, I was a bit concerned that they would put things off, but they took the task head-on and safely carried everything up into my apartment through the stairs. Not a single piece was scratched or harmed in any way. I am grateful beyond measure!
