We took the move during the hottest part of the summer with no shade. The crew remained ‘on the job' and never complained. Impressive stamina!
If I could give negative stars I would. Cameron the sales jerk was charming but a total liar. Gave us our estimate and assured me multiple times I had plenty if room left. Then the confirmation call came where I removed a chair, a desk, a chest of drawers, nightstand and full mattress. I wanted to add 5 medium boxes. They wanted another $1500. After arguing with the person to explain that to me he said “u can take off items if you want but your estimate won’t go down “. I tried to again explain that is not what my question is I said how is it going up with 5 boxes and bulky things removed ? Finally I said you get no more money leave it as is. We ended up throwing out tons of stuff last minute. Movers showed up at 5 at night. Loaded us quickly and off they went. 9 days later we are at our new home waiting for our things and after multiple phone calls find out it’s in Colorado. We are in Wisconsin. They said they have 21 days to deliver in the contract. Cameron neglected to point that out in our hour plus initial conversation. We called 3 days ago and told we were told we would receive a call in 2 days with a delivery date. Obviously not. The person today was so hard to understand my husband hung up. We have spent over $4000 and have no clothes except what we packed no furniture no dishes. No bedding truly a sham !!!! Wish I would have stopped to read reviews first. They actually told us our price was so much because no one wants to come to Wyoming.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
I was nervous about moving my family heirlooms, especially the delicate china cabinet that’s been in the family for generations. Swift Shift Van Lines team was thoughtful. They wrapped each piece of china in foam sleeves, layered it with extra bubble wrap, and even double-taped the boxes to make sure nothing would move during transit. Watching them handle my heirlooms with such care reassured me. The cabinet arrived in perfect condition, and it felt as though they knew how important it was to me.
I moved my art supplies and easels into another studio. The movers kept the boxes upright and didn’t crush anything fragile. I appreciated how careful they were with items that matter to me.
I moved from a second-floor duplex into a newly built apartment complex, and my main concern was my oversized sectional sofa and tall standing desk. Both were a tight fit through the hallway. The movers stayed patient and worked through every angle until they got them out safely. Everything was wrapped neatly, and nothing was damaged in the process. It was handled really well.
We did have a sectional that was able to be divided into several sections but it was difficult to get through the door. The movers were very careful to disassemble and reassemble it at the new location. All cushions and pieces were kept together.
Moving an entire workplace seemed like a daunting endeavor, but this business made it look easy. From the very first to the very last step, they acted professionally. In order to keep everything clear, the crew dismantled desks, packed monitors with care, and even organized documents. Their expertise saved us from hassle and precious time. Truly, first-rate service.
With order MC-2412, I was impressed by the smoothness of everything. The movers were well prepared, worked well together and didn't get the process started in a confusing way. They took care of my furniture, which was very appreciated. There was no damage done and the entire move was well organized throughout.
I booked them just to move a few bulky items, and didn’t expect much beyond basic hauling. But Swift Shift Van Lines team took time to wrap and secure each item. They also checked that our floor wouldn’t get scratched while bringing things in. What could’ve been a slapdash job was actually handled with serious care and attention!
