MoreWORST COMPANY EVER. To give us our initial estimate they said to just give them a rough estimate of things in our house, especially large items and then for anything additional we would be charged $3.70 per cubic foot when we did the final inventory call 3 days before the move. I had packed most of our stuff about a month before and called to update the inventory and they said to wait until the inventory call three days before. I also asked to know what company would possibly be moving us since I had found out AFTER the deposit that it wasn’t them (contrary to what the rep said initially) and they refused to provide that information. On the inventory call three days before our move went from $2800 to $9100. Our cubic feet had gone up and for small items they basically said it had doubled but they didn’t just charge us $3.70 per cubic foot, they added a $500 fee for changing the inventory and changed their estimate fee from $1600 to $3600. So they added over $2500 just in fees. I think they try to trap people into going with them because it’s too late by making you wait to give an updated inventory until three days before the move so you won’t have other options. We ended up canceling, received no refund/partial refund on our deposit and were treated extremely unprofessionally. Now we’re using a u-haul because we have no other options. Choose any other moving company!!

MoreI wish there was a 0 for this scale or negative because this company is such a SCAM. I was quoted under 1500 for the things i wanted to move which wasnt alot. I had mostly boxes then a couple big things to bring. The day of the move comes and its not even emerald moving that comes its a different moving company. I show the mover the thigns that needed to go and he insisted it wouldnt fit without me paying another $700 for another section of the empty truck. As it was a sunday (A day after they were supposed to arrive and pick up the stuff) noone was in the office for me to call so i ended up having to leave HALF of my stuff behind and only bringing a chair a table my tv and my tv stand and boxes. i packed the rest of the small stuff that i COULD pack into my car including another tv and more boxes. was charged an additional 200 for a stair fee that was never brought up by emerald moving which i found out i was going to be charged for again when they unloaded if there were stairs. They also said my office desk since the top was tempered glass they would've charged me a GLASS fee for that and the only reason they didnt charge me it for the tv was because i had gone and gotten moving boxes. I called to complain after arriving in my apartment and was advised "we see you opted to leave your stuff instead of paying the additional amount". The very NEXT day the lady had said called saying something along the lines of "We see you didnt pay your deposit when the truck picked up your stuff you'll owe another $500 on top of what you still have left to pay (as i had paid half of it when they picked up my stuff plus the 200 stair fee) I was floored. I asked how much in total i would have to pay and she said another $1200. I didnt have $1200 and wasnt thinking straight so told them to post pone my drop off till the weekend and they advised me they would let the truck know that saturday would be the earliest that i could have the drop off. Saturday came and went and waited another full week before the truck showed up. The mover didnt help unload anything but my chair and that way i didnt have to pay the stair fee i paid what was owed and he didnt setup anything my tv was left in the box my tv stand was never set up. Unpacking everything myself i was saddened to discover my 86" samsung 8k tv had been smashed. my tv stand was beat up and my crockpot was smashed. I just submitted a claim through a 3rd party company and for everything it looks like since i wasnt offerered any insurance im getting $70 back from them. I will NEVER use this company again and will advise everyone i know to avoid them at all cost.

MoreTHIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! First, the quoted price was no where near what the final price was. It took over a month for my belongings to get to me, and when they did, only 1/3 of my belongings arrived. Pieces of furniture were incomplete, more than 2/3s of the boxes were missing, and worst of all, everything that did arrive had BEEN THROUGH A FIRE!!! Every piece of furniture is either damaged with burn marks, covered in soot, or had water damage from the fire being put out. Boxes were mangled and destroyed and the contents are unusable and soaked. No one communicated to me what happened to my belongings while in their care. I was forced to pay and sign before they would unload any of my belongings. This has been a horrible experience and I am now forced to breathe in toxic fumes because everything is destroyed. For the health of you and your belongings, DONT NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

MoreLike many others, my experience started off well. The salesman was kind and assured me this would be an easy move with no issues. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill from there.
They requested a deposit in the form of a check, which I later realized was a tactic to make it difficult to get a refund. About a week before the move, I received a call from a man who was unprofessional and argumentative. When I asked simple questions, he had a temper tantrum and demanded an additional $1,500. He made it clear that if I refused to pay, I would have to cancel—and I wouldn’t receive a refund.
After reviewing the contract, I saw that they only allow a few days to cancel with a refund after booking, which feels deceptive. Fortunately, my sister-in-law works for the Florida Attorney General’s office, and I have forwarded all the details to her. I hope they take action against this company.

MoreI moved across the country 6 months ago. Had THE WORST nightmare experience with Emerald Logistics Moving. I talked to Matthew Wolf who I believe goes by another name, an absolutely rude and despicable person. Did a quote over the phone and he took our deposit of course. We tried to update the inventory list multiple times realizing we had forgotten to list several things (we’ve never used a moving company before) but every time we called they just dismissed us said it’ll be fine. They did the final call and the price almost quadrupled. I about lost my mind. My husband rented a U-Haul and took a huge load across country at the last minute. Then we call again and updated and the price still went up almost double, but what choice did we have. I told Matthew that this could have been handled better, we could have been helped better. I was calm in telling him that and he flipped out. He said I was insulting him and his company and it was all my fault and went on and on. He told me he would “exterminate” the phone call and “double” the price he quoted me and then what would I do. I was mind-blown that anyone in customer service would ever speak to a customer like that. Well I ended up wrongfully apologizing so that I wouldn’t get charged even more and I could get the move done. They showed up the next morning and of course they try to add thousands of dollars and tell me I need to pay for materials and everything when I had in my contract that it was all included. They are all scammers. I canceled the movers right then and lost my $2000 deposit, but that was better than giving any more money to these incredulous scammers. They were very surprised. And I think they didn’t expect for me to put up such a fight. They get people in a tight spot who then have no real other alternatives and rake you over the coals. The next movers I booked weren’t great either, but I still paid less overall even with losing my deposit. We will do everything in our power to NEVER use movers again. Emerald Logistics Moving/Matthew Wolf are the worse people I have ever dealt with.

MoreThis was the worst experience of my life. From the start, the salesperson blatantly lied to me. A few days before my move, the company doubled the cost, leaving me with no choice but to either pay the inflated price or cancel and lose my deposit. They also required payment by check, preventing me from disputing the charge as I could with a credit card.
When moving day arrived, a completely different company showed up—even though I had been assured they would handle the move themselves. I later discovered they don’t even own their own trucks.
To make matters worse, one of the movers kicked my elderly, non-aggressive dog simply because he was in the way.
Words cannot fully describe how awful this experience was.

MoreThe salesman, Paris, told me one thing and when the movers (who they outsourced to a horrible company called Sala Movers out of New Jersey) it was the complete opposite. I was told the mover who arrived at my house would accept credit cards. Upon arrival the two movers laughed when I asked about the credit card machine and said no moving company carries card machines. My move was delayed because I had to write a check and Sala would not move my furniture until the check cleared five business days later. My bank said there was no way that it would take five days to clear.
Also, Emerald quoted $10k for the move from Texas to Washington state. Sala tried to charge me $24k but they didn't tell me that until they had packed half of my stuff. So we decided to pack the rest of our furniture in U-Haul pods (which were great!). The pods arrived in Washington 1 week before Sala's truck arrived. Sala only sent 1 person to unload all of our stuff! So we ended up helping him unload our stuff. Of course, there were items that were scratched, including my floors.

MoreMy mother hired them to help her move back to our home state so she could be closer to family through a health crisis. They quoted her the amount of 1875.45 and then on delivery they up charged her to 2633 without explanation. They sold her contract to a Sala Moving and Storage LLC who would deliver her items. They lost some very sentimental portraits, and in their place we received multiple family portraits from a completely unrelated family and a Christmas tree that wasn't ours. She has tried to contact the company multiple times over the last several months and no one will call her back or answer her calls. We'd like to at least have the photograph issue resolved but nothing we have done has resulted in correcting this issue. I feel bad for the family that's missing these two other portraits. If your family used this company in October 2024 and you're missing photos, I'm sorry for you.
Do yourself a favor and don't use this company - save your money for someone more reputable.

They tell you one thing on the phone and when the movers arrive, who weren't from Emerald, when I was told Emerald wouldn't sell off my move, then its more money and not what you were told. Then I tried to get in touch with Paris after I paid the deposit, was impossible. Don't EVER, EVER use this company . Do it yourself cheaper or use a company that does the move themselves.
