were very conscientious
On moving day. The movers called me 30 minutes prior to arriving at my home to let me know they were almost there. There were four men who came to pack all my furniture. They were very respectful, joyful, kind, patient, and great listeners. I was extremely happy with the effort and great care they took with my belongings. The next morning they delivered all of my home furnishings, and personal belongings in a very timely and efficient manner. They placed my area rugs, where I asked them to. They placed the furniture where I asked them to and were very conscientious of how my new home was set up.

The company was also incredibly flexible
The company was also incredibly flexible when I needed to reschedule and adjust my move time. Throughout the process, they kept me informed with reminder notifications and confirmation calls, which made everything much less stressful. On moving day, the crew called ahead to let me know when they were on the way and arrived exactly when expected. The movers themselves were outstanding. They came prepared with dollies, moving blankets, and wrapping materials, and they took great care to protect my belongings. What impressed me most was how fast they worked while still being extremely careful with every item. Even things I hadn't wrapped myself were properly protected before being moved. Communication didn't stop once the truck was loaded. During unloading, they continually checked with me to make sure items were being placed where I wanted them and were happy to accommodate requests. They made the entire process efficient and stress-free. The payment process was simple, the final cost was exactly within the range I was quoted, and the service was worth every penny.

Poor estimate and poor communication
There are a few companies using this name. The company with the PA address is the SCAM company. They quote you very low and when they have all your possessions held hostage, they triple your price. I'm talking several thousands. Then they promise a 2 day delivery and when you show up at your empty house, they are nowhere to be found. They stop answering the phone and send you an email that says they have 21 days to make delivery. Meanwhile I'm in an empty house after spending much money on motel rooms. I had to buy a mattress, pillows, blankets, kitchen essentials, clothes, toiletries, a TV to keep from losing my mind while everything I own is MIA. Please heed the reviews. This is a complete scam company.

Quick and Effortless!
I had some unexpected delays with my lease, and Cross Country Movers was flexible enough to adjust the timing. The movers showed up early, helped wrap a few last-minute items, and didn't rush even when I was clearly stressed. They helped get my bed and couch into a tight space without forcing anything. I felt supported during the whole process, which really mattered that day.

Wow! Definitely a 5 ***** moving company. They are on time for the day of your move, which reduces any all stressors that can be related to your planned and busy day. They" re efficient and hard working during your moving process. They come equipped and prepared thoroughly to protect any and all of your items needing any extra care. They definitely aim to please and I highly recommend them not only for my above statements, but also for their cost prevention in keeping their services affordable to the consumer. Highly recommend!
We're moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to another house within the city. Cross Country Movers are amazing. They were so professional and you could see it in the way they pack and move stuffs - there was not single scratch or dent in any of the furniture or appliances. They wasted no time and the prices are pretty reasonable in bay area. Highly recommend!

I took a chance because I liked their business model. Turned out to be a fantastic experience from start to finish. A few years later, my mom was planning to move and we hired you again. Same great experience! What a great company!

very smoothly and tension-free
I had a studio apartment with narrow hallways, and I was worried my large dresser wouldn’t make it out. The movers calmly measured the doorframe, removed the dresser drawers, and carried it out piece by piece. They reassured me the whole time, saying, “We’ve got this.” At my new place, they reassembled it perfectly.

Everything arrived and in perfect shape
Everything arrived and in perfect shape. As they started to unload they noticed me frantically opening boxes and when I told them I had accidently packed my wallet inside they shrugged it off but then the unexpectable happened! Once they were done, they disappeared, the reappeared out of no where. The guys actually bought me lunch. Who does that?! It meant so much!

Long distance move from NJ to TN
Cross Country Movers (CCM), also operating under the name “Moving and Storage” in South Florida, is not a moving company but a broker—a fact they fail to clearly disclose. I was referred to CCM through 2Movers.com while preparing to relocate from New Jersey to Tennessee. The initial interaction was promising: the sales representative was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided a quote based on my inventory, including a 600 lb safe that required specialized equipment. I was assured they had the necessary tools and capabilities. We scheduled the pickup for June 25, with June 26 as a backup. Two days prior, I had to initiate contact to confirm the date. During the inventory review, the volume increased by 175 cubic feet, which I accepted, but the rate per cubic foot was also raised by 11% without prior notice—cited as a labor adjustment. The pickup was first delayed to June 26 without explanation, despite no rain issues. I will concede that there was a heat wave that Mon through Wed, but that was not the reason given for the delay. The truck was then supposed to arrive at 4pm, but it arrived 30 min late. Oddly, two of the movers arrived on time. Contrary to CCM’s claims, the truck was a third-party rental, not CCM or “Moving and Storage SF” branded, and the crew was neither uniformed nor CCM employees. The driver had just met the laborers that day and paid them in cash. While the crew handled the items with care, the promised equipment for moving the safe was not provided. The team attempted to lift the safe manually, which was unsafe, so I had to leave it behind and will have to arrange for a new, separate transport. Due to volume limits, I had to leave some furniture behind. After loading, we completed paperwork and scheduled delivery no later than July 5. Unfortunately, the delivery process was equally disorganized. I received conflicting updates, and the delivery date shifted multiple times, ultimately landing on July 5. Upon arrival, the truck was not the original one used for pickup, indicating my belongings were transferred without my knowledge or supervision. Payment was required in cash or money order before unloading—no secure payment options were accepted. This led to a tense situation that required police involvement to ensure my items were released. The handling of my belongings during the transfer was careless. Boxes marked “Do Not Stack” were crushed under heavy items, and other customers’ items were mixed in with mine. I had to personally oversee the unloading to ensure proper placement in storage. Conclusion: I cannot recommend Cross Country Movers. Their lack of transparency, use of third-party contractors, poor communication, and mishandling of items made this a highly stressful experience. I strongly advise verifying that any moving company you hire owns its trucks and employs its own trained staff.
