they were very communicative leading up to the date. I worked with different teams for each move, but overall, they were fast, thorough, and friendly. Thankfully, there were no damages to my belongings or the buildings. I will be calling them if/when I move again and would recommend them.
Cross Country Movers (CCM), also operating under the name “Moving and Storage” in South Florida, is not a moving company but a broker—a fact they fail to clearly disclose. I was referred to CCM through 2Movers.com while preparing to relocate from New Jersey to Tennessee. The initial interaction was promising: the sales representative was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided a quote based on my inventory, including a 600 lb safe that required specialized equipment. I was assured they had the necessary tools and capabilities. We scheduled the pickup for June 25, with June 26 as a backup. Two days prior, I had to initiate contact to confirm the date. During the inventory review, the volume increased by 175 cubic feet, which I accepted, but the rate per cubic foot was also raised by 11% without prior notice—cited as a labor adjustment. The pickup was first delayed to June 26 without explanation, despite no rain issues. I will concede that there was a heat wave that Mon through Wed, but that was not the reason given for the delay. The truck was then supposed to arrive at 4pm, but it arrived 30 min late. Oddly, two of the movers arrived on time. Contrary to CCM’s claims, the truck was a third-party rental, not CCM or “Moving and Storage SF” branded, and the crew was neither uniformed nor CCM employees. The driver had just met the laborers that day and paid them in cash. While the crew handled the items with care, the promised equipment for moving the safe was not provided. The team attempted to lift the safe manually, which was unsafe, so I had to leave it behind and will have to arrange for a new, separate transport. Due to volume limits, I had to leave some furniture behind. After loading, we completed paperwork and scheduled delivery no later than July 5. Unfortunately, the delivery process was equally disorganized. I received conflicting updates, and the delivery date shifted multiple times, ultimately landing on July 5. Upon arrival, the truck was not the original one used for pickup, indicating my belongings were transferred without my knowledge or supervision. Payment was required in cash or money order before unloading—no secure payment options were accepted. This led to a tense situation that required police involvement to ensure my items were released. The handling of my belongings during the transfer was careless. Boxes marked “Do Not Stack” were crushed under heavy items, and other customers’ items were mixed in with mine. I had to personally oversee the unloading to ensure proper placement in storage. Conclusion: I cannot recommend Cross Country Movers. Their lack of transparency, use of third-party contractors, poor communication, and mishandling of items made this a highly stressful experience. I strongly advise verifying that any moving company you hire owns its trucks and employs its own trained staff.
On top of being fast, they were also really friendly, kind, and professional the whole time. Honestly, it was the smoothest and easiest move-in I’ve ever had. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a move that’s stress-free and efficient.
Cross Country Movers helped us out today moving from North Hills to Simi Valley. Our apartment has no elevator and we were on the top 3rd floor, they were done quickly and worked well as a team. Shout out to Max and his team for all their hard work. We are satisfied with their customer service and would use them in the future if needed. 10/10!

When I called Cross Country Movers Lucas was the person I spoke with. He was warm, welcoming, and helpful. We scheduled my moving date, and on moving day, Victor and his crew were friendly, professional, and efficient. Moving can be very stressful, but Victor and his crew made the entire experience smooth and effortless. I was busy taking care of other things, and before I knew it, they were finished. I am so glad I chose Cross Country Movers, and I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend them!
We had an odd job of moving my basement workshop out of a small basement with a narrow, winding stairwell. I have lots of heavy machinery, awkward parts, and bulky equipment. They clearly know all the tricks of the trade. At the new house, they had to cross newly refinished wood floors and navigate freshly painted walls on the way down to the basement, and nothing was damaged or scuffed. We even had a surprise item to move from the garage to the second floor, and they were happy to help.
This is our second time using Cross Country Movers — Igor and Denis were so efficient (& strong!) for our move in the Edgewater area. Super impressed with the speed and diligence in which they worked. Very reliable company and will use for all future moves. Thank you!
I recently moved from a small two-bedroom rental into a newly built townhouse. The amount of stuff I had was honestly more than I expected, but the movers didn't seem fazed at all. They worked steadily, handled everything carefully, and kept a great attitude. Nothing got scratched or misplaced. It was such a relief to have a crew that knew exactly what they were doing.
Literally the WORST moving experience of my life! I moved from RI to FL. I was given an estimate then the day of the move I was told by the movers that the cost would be THOUSANDS more than quoted!!!! I didn't know what to do, they already had my stuff on the truck, our families flight to FL was about to leave, my lease was up on my apt so we had no where to go. I also needed to start my new job in 2 days. The movers for my car had already taken it. We didn;t know what to do. They said they were gonna dump our stuff on the street if we didnt pay. They knew they had control. We felt as if we had no choice. Then it took weeks and weeks to get our stuff and some things arrived broken! After many phone calls nothing was solved. This company is the WORST. DO NOT USE THEM!!
