Excellent from start to finish!!!!!
I recently moved from a small two-bedroom rental into a newly built townhouse. The amount of stuff I had was honestly more than I expected, but the movers didn't seem fazed at all. They worked steadily, handled everything carefully, and kept a great attitude. Nothing got scratched or misplaced. It was such a relief to have a crew that knew exactly what they were doing.

Long distance move from NJ to TN
Cross Country Movers (CCM), also operating under the name “Moving and Storage” in South Florida, is not a moving company but a broker—a fact they fail to clearly disclose. I was referred to CCM through 2Movers.com while preparing to relocate from New Jersey to Tennessee. The initial interaction was promising: the sales representative was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided a quote based on my inventory, including a 600 lb safe that required specialized equipment. I was assured they had the necessary tools and capabilities. We scheduled the pickup for June 25, with June 26 as a backup. Two days prior, I had to initiate contact to confirm the date. During the inventory review, the volume increased by 175 cubic feet, which I accepted, but the rate per cubic foot was also raised by 11% without prior notice—cited as a labor adjustment. The pickup was first delayed to June 26 without explanation, despite no rain issues. I will concede that there was a heat wave that Mon through Wed, but that was not the reason given for the delay. The truck was then supposed to arrive at 4pm, but it arrived 30 min late. Oddly, two of the movers arrived on time. Contrary to CCM’s claims, the truck was a third-party rental, not CCM or “Moving and Storage SF” branded, and the crew was neither uniformed nor CCM employees. The driver had just met the laborers that day and paid them in cash. While the crew handled the items with care, the promised equipment for moving the safe was not provided. The team attempted to lift the safe manually, which was unsafe, so I had to leave it behind and will have to arrange for a new, separate transport. Due to volume limits, I had to leave some furniture behind. After loading, we completed paperwork and scheduled delivery no later than July 5. Unfortunately, the delivery process was equally disorganized. I received conflicting updates, and the delivery date shifted multiple times, ultimately landing on July 5. Upon arrival, the truck was not the original one used for pickup, indicating my belongings were transferred without my knowledge or supervision. Payment was required in cash or money order before unloading—no secure payment options were accepted. This led to a tense situation that required police involvement to ensure my items were released. The handling of my belongings during the transfer was careless. Boxes marked “Do Not Stack” were crushed under heavy items, and other customers’ items were mixed in with mine. I had to personally oversee the unloading to ensure proper placement in storage. Conclusion: I cannot recommend Cross Country Movers. Their lack of transparency, use of third-party contractors, poor communication, and mishandling of items made this a highly stressful experience. I strongly advise verifying that any moving company you hire owns its trucks and employs its own trained staff.

I had a fantastic experience using Cross Country Movers for my local move to LIC from Manhattan. Marko and Luka arrived promptly, worked fast, were polite/friendly and left no mess or damage. The value of the service was terrific and they provided the necessary COIs very quickly. I would recommend them to anyone.

Appreciative of how they made a chaotic time less stressful!
Now that I’m unpacking, I’m also appreciative of how carefully everything was wrapped and packed. Because the team put tags on every box, our belongings were already in the rooms we needed to unpack! More than that, the staff was professional, friendly and the pre process was really easy. We agreed to a price based on the inventory list and then it never changed after that. Appreciative of how they made a chaotic time less stressful!

My hats off to you!
After years in the same condo, my parents were downsizing, and I wanted it to go smoothly for them. The movers I hired from this company arrived early, explained everything clearly, and treated my parents’ belongings with so much care and respect. They even took the time to reassemble furniture at the new place. My parents were comfortable the entire time, which meant everything to me. Absolutely recommended!

It was a relief that all went so smoothly.
I had a state-to-state relocation with Cross Country Movers, and it was excellent. The movers worked carefully, communicated updates, and delivered on time. Everything was intact, and the entire process felt organized and professional from beginning to end.

professional and VERY affordable.
Words cannot express how exceptional the team, service and company is. Had to move a business sooner than expected , called Affordable Movers after 7pm, they had someone out the next morning for an estimate and on their schedule. Team members handle our stuff with absolute care and went above beyond to help. They were fast, efficient, professional and VERY affordable.

The moving crew who helped us out were super friendly and helpful as we completed our move! They handled our stuff with care and were very fast and efficient. When they encountered a slight snag with the moving process (which was completely out of their or our control), they were so helpful and handled it with professionalism and grace. They also named our plants Harold and Richard. I will be using Cross Country Movers for future moves and have already recommended them to other people!

From start to finish, the process was professional, organized, and completely stress-free. The team was punctual, careful with every item, and extremely respectful of my time and property. Everything was wrapped properly, handled with care, and delivered exactly as promised. What stood out most was the level of trust. When you’re running a business, you can’t afford surprises or delays and Cross Country Movers gave me total peace of mind during an important transition.
