Read More I have moved a lot over the years and I can unequivocally say this is hands-down the best moving experience I’ve ever had. Lester in particular, but the entire team was efficient, friendly, careful, and wonderful to be around. Not only did they not break anything, I would gladly have them around just to hang out. They did everything with a smile and wrapped all my furniture carefully as if it was their own. I don’t often write positive reviews, and I’m happy to say I will be recommending and working with Coastal Moving Services again.

They were very careful with our stuff and everything made it to our new house perfectly! Definitely recommend!

CAUTION, this is a Bait and Switch company. Coastal Movers provided me with an original estimate that was almost 4x lower than the actual cost. During the initial call, I ... Read More CAUTION, this is a Bait and Switch company. Coastal Movers provided me with an original estimate that was almost 4x lower than the actual cost. During the initial call, I provided them with the dimensions of my stuffed storage shed that was to be moved (10'x20'x8' high, which comes out to 1,600 cubic feet), they quoted me a little over $4,000 (but, unknown to me, they had only estimated 431 cubic feet). An initial non-refundable deposit was required at this time in order to move forward in their process. When the quality control member called me to give an estimate according to photos (just two days before the scheduled move was to occur), the price jumped to ~$10,400 and there was no way to get the deposit back—I had to choose to either move forward or lose my ~$1,700 deposit. Feeling stuck, being so near to the moving date, I agreed to move forward and they required another ~$2,500 to continue. The move has not yet happened, I will update this post after that time. UPDATE: On moving day a logistics company showed up with a rented 1,700 cubic foot U-haul truck and two laborers they got off of CraigsList that morning (who had never worked in moving before). The logistics company worker did an estimate of his own and thought the total cubic footage to be closer to 2,000 cubic feet. He called Coastal Movers who called me back with a new price of ~$16,000 (4x the original estimate of ~$4,000). They again asked for more money to go forward in the process and I finally pulled the plug—every time I spoke with them the price went up about $5,000. At this point I have paid them about $4,280 and they refused to refund any of that money. That evening I contacted my credit card company, the one I had used to pay Coastal, and told them my story. They agreed to take the Coastal Movers charge off my bill for now while they investigate the matter. In the meantime, I had another company move my belongings and it came out to just over 1,600 cubic feet—the exact number I gave Coastal Movers from the beginning! It is currently being moved for $7,500 which seems like a fair price for this time of the year (January). I will update this post as events continue to open.

Read More We had a great experience moving with these guys. They were professional, fast, and handled everything with care even though we moved from a 3rd floor apartment with many steps. Wrapped the furniture with blankets, put carpets down to protect the floor when rainy and didn’t drop anything or scratch any walls. There was no hidden fees either.

The team maintained excellent communication throughout the process, and the couple of minor issues that arose were addressed immediately and professionally — no pushback, no attitude, just solutions. Read More They were on time, and very efficient but also very careful not to damage anything. They were also very accommodating when I asked if they could shift the TV mount to the left. When I apologized for the extra work, they just said "It's OK, we just want you to be happy with where it is" which was so nice. The pricing was upfront with no surprises, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend their services and would happily hire them again.

Read More A Neighbour in our community referred us to Coastal Moving Services for our local moving needs. The crew is well experienced professionals who went above and beyond to complete the move in time. They came equipped with the right tools and supplies for the move. They disassembled and wrapped the furnitures for an effective and safe move and assembled post the move. They carried heavy furnitures across multiple level. When we realized that our treadmill couldn’t fit the entry way to basement, they completed the move by disassembling and reassembling with a heavy move. Highly appreciate the team and look forward to working with them for future needs!

Read More We had heard very good things about Coastal Moving Services before confirming our booking and I’m happy to say they lived up to the hype. Our experience was exceptional. Leading up to the move Karina was in close contact with us every step of the way making sure we had all of the information and help needed to ensure things would run smoothly. Day of, Romy and his team were personable, professional, fast (yet careful) and incredibly accommodating - I’m hopeful we won’t be moving again soon, but if we were I would absolutely be requesting Romy and his team again.
