Read More The movers were FANTASTIC! I’ve had professional movers in the past, and they were good, but this company takes the cakes. We were provided just three young men, who moved very heavy furniture, and did so with such professionalism. I loved the protection of our furniture that was provided, not to mentioned how strong these young men were. The price for the move was VERY reasonable. We need this company to come back (asking for the same crew), to move furniture around in our current home. I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

I appreciate the peace of mind, always making my move so smooth. They disassembled my bed and put it back together. As a disabled military veteran, I selected this company based on representations made by their sales representative, Francis Castellon, who stated that the business was veteran-owned and offered a military discount. Relying on these statements, I trusted that I was dealing with a company that valued integrity and transparency. I clearly communicated that I was moving from a three-bedroom home with a garage and that my destination was not yet finalized, as I could be moving either locally or out of state approximately one year later. In May 2025, I was quoted a rate of $2.25 per cubic foot, totaling approximately $3,000, and was explicitly told that this rate would be locked in regardless of the final destination. I was further advised that not all items needed to be listed in detail, which proved to be misleading and detrimental. Based on these assurances, I paid approximately $1,000 as a deposit to secure the quoted rate. However, when I contacted the company on March 20, 2026, to proceed with my move, the terms were drastically altered. The rate increased to $4.25 per cubic foot, the estimated volume rose from 540 to 900 cubic feet, and the total cost escalated to approximately $8,000. Additionally, I was informed that the original quote only applied to a local move, directly contradicting prior representations. Despite repeated efforts over the course of a month to resolve this issue, I encountered dismissive and unprofessional behavior from multiple representatives. A supervisor identified as Chris refused to escalate my concerns, denied access to management, and prevented communication with the original sales representative. Ultimately, I was forced to cancel the contract due to the unaffordable revised pricing, resulting in the forfeiture of my deposit. All formal complaints submitted to the company went unanswered. Based on my experience, I believe the company engages in misleading practices to secure deposits and does not honor initial representations. I strongly advise all consumers to exercise extreme caution, ensure that every item is explicitly documented, and avoid relying on verbal assurances. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.

Moving is already stressful, but this company turned the process into a nightmare from start to finish. Before booking, I created a detailed spreadsheet listing every box, its dimensions, and all items being moved. Despite this preparation, I received a call the day before pickup claiming I was already “over the estimated space” and would need to pay more. This felt like a bait-and-switch tactic after the estimate had already been agreed upon. The situation got worse on moving day. I was given a pickup window of 2–4 PM, yet the crew arrived at 10 AM because they said my move was their last job of the day. I work from home and was not prepared for their early arrival, but allowed them to proceed. During loading, the crew again claimed I was over the allotted space, this time blaming my workout equipment because it “couldn’t be stacked.” This made no sense. I had clearly listed these items in advance, explained exactly what they were, and the space calculation should have already accounted for them. Being charged again for this was completely unreasonable. While the movers were finishing up, I was on a work call and signed the paperwork so I could return to work. About 30 minutes later, I went to my basement and discovered several items had been left behind. I immediately called the driver, who did not answer, and then contacted customer service. I was told I had signed off on the shipment and was over space, despite the items simply being forgotten. After pushing the issue, the driver asked me to send photos of the items left behind, which I did immediately. No one ever followed up or scheduled a pickup. Customer service later told me the company is only a broker and has no visibility into where my belongings are. I have received conflicting information about delivery, and as of my latest update my items have not even left my home state and remain in a warehouse. This experience has involved bait-and-switch pricing, poor communication, lack of accountability, and unhelpful customer service. Coastal Moving Services was quick to take payment but unable to provide basic support afterward. I strongly urge others to avoid using this company.
