I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.

The movers did a fantastic job. They were pleasant to be around and got the job done fast and well. They went to extraordinary lengths to provide a safe transportation for all of the items. When I moved into my new home, they helped me set up all of my furnishings. How wonderful!

They were very responsive!
Due to a job transfer, I had to move in a hurry. The movers that I used showed up fully prepared and didn't waste any time chatting. They took the bed frame apart in minutes and kept all the hardware in a labeled bag for the other end. All the boxes were stacked neatly in the van to maximize the space. They reassembled all the things at the new place and made sure the path was clear before leaving. I would suggest calling this team if you plan to move soon.

We were grateful to have him in charge of our move.
I was REALLY happy because the whole process was really easy! My husband left the military, so we had to move our stuff from NY to DE. They called us when the truck was loaded and on its way. Our things were carefully unloaded at our new home.

Really Handled it.
I’m so glad we went with AMEX Moving & Storage. Everything arrived in one piece, and the guys were actually fun to have around. Honestly, I didn't think a move could go this smoothly, but the crew really handled it.

Great experience
After two experiences with Amex Moving & Storage, I will never use another service. They move swiftly and carefully my belongings. Their estimates have always been more than what I was expecting. Kendry and Javier not only moved my furniture expertly, but they also managed it all without my assistance!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Prior to booking an interstate move from NY to TN, we conducted two to three separate virtual walkthroughs with sales rep Patrick Harris. We explicitly emphasized that we wanted everything accurately inventoried to avoid any surprises or unexpected costs on moving day. Based on these virtual evaluations, he issued a signed Binding Estimate for $21,800.00. Once signed, Operations Manager Michelle Bar became our main contact—and dealing with her was an absolute nightmare. Every conversation was like walking on eggshells. She maintained a belligerent "take it or leave it" attitude, overtalking us with "Listen, listen, listen," refusing to let us speak, and threatening to hang up if we pushed back. At one point, she actually said, "You're lucky we even showed up." They arrived on the final afternoon of our pickup window at 4:00 PM—with the closing on our NY home scheduled for 9:30 AM the next morning. The crew kept us awake packing all night long from 4:00 PM until 6:30 AM, leaving us just three hours before closing. Before a single item was loaded onto the truck, on-site lead Henner Rodriguez claimed the job was larger than expected and put Michelle Bar on the phone. With our NY home sale closing hours away and a purchase closing on our new home in TN just days later, our backs were completely against the wall. Knowing we were trapped, she verbally forced a price jump to $32,700.00—an unauthorized $10,900.00 overcharge—before work would begin. In a desperate attempt to lower the cost, we were forced to purge valuable personal belongings on the spot, forcing us to repurchase those items out-of-pocket after arriving in Tennessee. Left with no choice on moving day, we had to agree under total duress. Delivery was then delayed for over two weeks because Michelle Bar insisted we needed a shuttle service and attempted to demand additional accessorial fees, despite our executed paperwork reflecting $0 shuttle charges and specifying two smaller delivery trucks. Upon delivery, our furniture arrived with severe physical damage, including structural breaks to our bedroom set and entertainment center, and our box spring arrived filthy and water-stained. I have officially filed formal regulatory complaints with: • Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration • New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (Office of Consumer Protection) • Tennessee Attorney General's Office (Division of Consumer Affairs) Save yourself the stress, money, and property destruction. Avoid AMEX Moving & Storage at all costs.

Trouble-free relocation. Even though my move took longer than expected, all my belongings arrived safely. I recommend them without reservation since they are the finest.

Cheerful Movers!
I only needed to move items from a storage unit to my new house. The movers contacted me the day before to confirm the unit layout, arrived with a box dolly and straps, and moved everything quickly without damaging the hallway walls or the doorframe. The entire job took less than 6 hours and it was a great experience!
