DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Prior to booking an interstate move from NY to TN, we conducted two to three separate virtual walkthroughs with sales rep Patrick Harris. We explicitly emphasized that we wanted everything accurately inventoried to avoid any surprises or unexpected costs on moving day. Based on these virtual evaluations, he issued a signed Binding Estimate for $21,800.00. Once signed, Operations Manager Michelle Bar became our main contact—and dealing with her was an absolute nightmare. Every conversation was like walking on eggshells. She maintained a belligerent "take it or leave it" attitude, overtalking us with "Listen, listen, listen," refusing to let us speak, and threatening to hang up if we pushed back. At one point, she actually said, "You're lucky we even showed up." They arrived on the final afternoon of our pickup window at 4:00 PM—with the closing on our NY home scheduled for 9:30 AM the next morning. The crew kept us awake packing all night long from 4:00 PM until 6:30 AM, leaving us just three hours before closing. Before a single item was loaded onto the truck, on-site lead Henner Rodriguez claimed the job was larger than expected and put Michelle Bar on the phone. With our NY home sale closing hours away and a purchase closing on our new home in TN just days later, our backs were completely against the wall. Knowing we were trapped, she verbally forced a price jump to $32,700.00—an unauthorized $10,900.00 overcharge—before work would begin. In a desperate attempt to lower the cost, we were forced to purge valuable personal belongings on the spot, forcing us to repurchase those items out-of-pocket after arriving in Tennessee. Left with no choice on moving day, we had to agree under total duress. Delivery was then delayed for over two weeks because Michelle Bar insisted we needed a shuttle service and attempted to demand additional accessorial fees, despite our executed paperwork reflecting $0 shuttle charges and specifying two smaller delivery trucks. Upon delivery, our furniture arrived with severe physical damage, including structural breaks to our bedroom set and entertainment center, and our box spring arrived filthy and water-stained. I have officially filed formal regulatory complaints with: • Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration • New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (Office of Consumer Protection) • Tennessee Attorney General's Office (Division of Consumer Affairs) Save yourself the stress, money, and property destruction. Avoid AMEX Moving & Storage at all costs.

Super PRECISE and ON TIME!
A heavy safe is a literal pain to move, but the team from Amex Moving & Storage arrived with a heavy-duty dolly. They moved the heavy object through the front door with plenty of clearance. I was worried about my hardwood floors, but they used protective runners the entire time. The job finished faster than my last move. My heavy safe is now in the new place without any damage to it. The team was very professional and did not charge any upfront cost.

Quick and Effortless!
Fragile items like glass tables and picture frames were packed with care. Everything reached the new home safely, and I couldn’t be happier with how attentive and respectful the movers were. They exceeded my expectations.

Peaceful Service!
The unexpected outpour of rain certainly did not demotivate the movers. They were as determined as ever to wrap my move up on schedule. They brought big plastic coverings and numerous rolls of bubble wrap to thoroughly pack every piece. It was a smart move on their part since it prevented even a droplet of water from seeping in. After arriving to my new apartment, they draped their raincoats on and even unloaded and arranged all my things accordingly! They’re stunning at what they do!

Excellent service
My wife and I can't say enough about Amex Moving & Storage. The front office was a pleasure to work with and the crew that was sent to move our belongings was outstanding. I never saw four young men (Henry, kendry, Javier and Vicente) work so hard as they did. They were a "machine!" The move took just under 12 hours to complete and they busted their tails to the very end. They were very knowledgeable in dismantling our electronics, beds, shelving, etc. and reassembling everything perfectly. As the crew left one of the young men said, "tell your friends about us!" We most certainly will. Thank you once again!

Moving with Amex Moving & Storage was fantastic. They were very professional, fast, and careful with my belongings. They arrived on time, packed everything securely, and loaded the truck expertly. They drove safely and unloaded everything without any issues. They listened to my preferences and made sure I was happy with their service.

Simple, Seamless and Satisfactory!!!
I was sure my mattress could never go through the narrow spiral staircase at the new house. After a quick look, the movers managed to get the angle just right. It was like watching a real-life Tetris game. Neither the mattress nor the walls got scratched during the lift. The smoothness of the move still surprises me. For tough moves, I highly recommend these guys!

I’m impressed beyond measure at the service I got!
Amex Moving & Storage is one of the best companies in town. They helped me pack and wrap all my appliances, crockery and electronics and all other huge items were safely packed by them. When we reached our new home, they unloaded, unpacked and set up all of them in my new home, which made the move very painless.
