This guys are pros
This team did a great job with my belongings when I moved into my new place. They spent several hours loading the truck and made sure to secure the loose items, so nothing shifted on the road. I stayed in the driveway while they worked, and they just kept a steady pace until the house was empty. My stuff all got to the new house in the same condition as when it left the old place.

When it was time to move, Amex Moving & Storage movers showed up on time and got the job done quickly. These people made moving easy and stress-free for me, even though I have trouble giving others work. I would use them again if I needed their help.

This is going to be the only moving company we'll ever use!
Everyone from the office personnel to the movers on the actual moving day at Amex Moving & Storage was professional and efficient. They were very organized and prepared, and they had all the necessary tools and equipment. They tackled everything with ease and skill, and they made sure everything went perfectly. They also took great care of our belongings, especially our fragile items, such as our glass coffee table and our porcelain vase. They were very attentive and meticulous, and they checked everything before they left. They were very respectful and courteous, and they exceeded our expectations.

We recently used Amex moving and Storage to move my daughter from NYC to Orlando FL. Was quoted $3,500.00 for a tiny one bedroom apartment. The movers showed up at her Apartment as scheduled and then the nightmare began. Driver had to park another 100' away so his office immediately called telling me only 75' from truck to front door is included. I said fine, charge me for the additional distance. Then they made it up to the apartment and said they didn't have a mattress cover included in the price and i would have to pay extra, then they said they wouldn't move TV's in the boxes they came in that they had to use their own crate and that would be extra, and then they said mirrors would cost extra and then they said that lamps need a special cover and that would be extra. I told the lady on the phone that i felt that this was one big bait and switch exercise and that i felt i was being taken advantage of. She immediately threatens to leave and tell her drivers to leave. I said no, i don't have time to start all over again and we had a deadline to be out of the apartment, plus they had my $700.00 deposit. She said for the extras it would be another $1,000.00. I was in shock. That is one third the amount of the entire move. I agree because they have me bent over a barrel. So now they get to Orlando a week or so later and the disaster starts all over again. Did i mention they demand Cash only at delivery so i had to get $3,900.00 in cash the day before arrival. They arrive at the house and now demand the Cash without allowing us to inventory or inspect the items. The driver get the crazy lady on the phone and she starts yelling and screaming at my wife and me and telling the drivers to just leave. Finally one of the movers opens the truck to allow us to make sure all of our stuff is there but still wont unpack it. Now she is yelling at him telling him not to do it. We finally resolve with the drivers and get our stuff, but it was an absolute nightmare. These people are crooks and will take advantage of you. I highly recommend you stay clear of this company. We have moved several times and have never been treated like this and have never paid Cash. Run fast and far from these folks.

Javier and the rest of the Amex Moving & Storage staff did an excellent job. Everything was loaded into boxes and ready for moving. The team constructed and dismantled each equipment carefully, and the service was quick and effective.

they handled everything very well.
My possessions were much more arranged after the movers than at my previous residence, which was one of the biggest shocks of my relocation! They methodically boxed my books, seasonal decorations, and ordinary goods to arrange them rationally. They asked clarifying questions, such as whether I needed winter clothing on hand or in the attic, and which dishes I planned to use immediately. These things made unpacking at my new house easy, eliminating the need to open random boxes for a spatula. Moreover, despite navigating large appliances through my small back entrance, the crew kept a positive attitude throughout the day.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Prior to booking an interstate move from NY to TN, we conducted two to three separate virtual walkthroughs with sales rep Patrick Harris. We explicitly emphasized that we wanted everything accurately inventoried to avoid any surprises or unexpected costs on moving day. Based on these virtual evaluations, he issued a signed Binding Estimate for $21,800.00. Once signed, Operations Manager Michelle Bar became our main contact—and dealing with her was an absolute nightmare. Every conversation was like walking on eggshells. She maintained a belligerent "take it or leave it" attitude, overtalking us with "Listen, listen, listen," refusing to let us speak, and threatening to hang up if we pushed back. At one point, she actually said, "You're lucky we even showed up." They arrived on the final afternoon of our pickup window at 4:00 PM—with the closing on our NY home scheduled for 9:30 AM the next morning. The crew kept us awake packing all night long from 4:00 PM until 6:30 AM, leaving us just three hours before closing. Before a single item was loaded onto the truck, on-site lead Henner Rodriguez claimed the job was larger than expected and put Michelle Bar on the phone. With our NY home sale closing hours away and a purchase closing on our new home in TN just days later, our backs were completely against the wall. Knowing we were trapped, she verbally forced a price jump to $32,700.00—an unauthorized $10,900.00 overcharge—before work would begin. In a desperate attempt to lower the cost, we were forced to purge valuable personal belongings on the spot, forcing us to repurchase those items out-of-pocket after arriving in Tennessee. Left with no choice on moving day, we had to agree under total duress. Delivery was then delayed for over two weeks because Michelle Bar insisted we needed a shuttle service and attempted to demand additional accessorial fees, despite our executed paperwork reflecting $0 shuttle charges and specifying two smaller delivery trucks. Upon delivery, our furniture arrived with severe physical damage, including structural breaks to our bedroom set and entertainment center, and our box spring arrived filthy and water-stained. I have officially filed formal regulatory complaints with: • Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration • New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (Office of Consumer Protection) • Tennessee Attorney General's Office (Division of Consumer Affairs) Save yourself the stress, money, and property destruction. Avoid AMEX Moving & Storage at all costs.

Exceptional service
I moved into a fourth-floor apartment with no elevator. I thought the stairs would slow everything down, but the movers powered through and carried all my furniture up without a single complaint.

I was always wary about moving, but this company made it seem like a breeze. They moved all my possessions on time, and they sent packers who packed everything exactly as I wanted. There was no damage or loss of anything. They are indeed the experts!
