Read More Our experience with Amerisafe was a complete nightmare. When we first contacted them, they were incredibly helpful. Once they have your deposit, don’t expect to hear from them again. They failed multiple times to return calls and emails. They made promises they couldn’t keep, and the carrier did not care what Amerisafe had promised. Expect your costs to double, even when you try to give them the most accurate information. This company is what gives moving brokers and companies a bad name. There is nothing ‘safe’ about AmeriSAFE. Absolute worst experience ever!

Read More My biggest mistake was going through a moving broker. NEVER—under any circumstances—INVOLVE A BROKER. Even the moving companies themselves can’t stand working with them, and now I know exactly why. Choose a company that will perform an in-house survey before the move and give you a fixed price quote. Amerisafe does neither. They aren't even movers!! Also, never believe online rankings of "The Top 10 (anything)". That's where I found this company, and I didn't do enough due diligence. They gave me a quote after a phone interview. A high-pressure "Buy now to lock in a date" call. Stupid me, I bit thinking they were super busy or something. I paid half price right then and there. DO NOT DO THAT. Another "Customer Service" individual called a few days later and went over the items again because I had made some changes. We removed two whole rooms of furniture and the price doubled because we added some extra wardrobe boxes. It doubled and you can't back out or you lose your deposit. I never heard from Amerisafe again. NEVER! No follow-up calls to see how everything went. It's obvious why they don't call you back!! Kudos to the actual moving crew that showed up from US Movers—those guys worked hard and I only had one small case of broken inventory. But the company’s logistics and scheduling were a total nightmare. I booked my move date weeks in advance. A week before the move, I finally get a call telling me they wouldn’t confirm my actual move date until the day before—and that it would be within 2–3 days of what I’d requested. Seriously? We had cleaners scheduled, utilities arranged, and multiple other moving parts depending on that date. Then… silence. Until the driver calls—saying he’s coming a day BEFORE my requested date to start packing. He shows up, looks around, and immediately jacks up the estimate by $2,000 on the spot. I was locked into a three-page contract I couldn’t escape from. The broker had already raised the price once before. This is nothing but a predatory, bait-and-switch scam once they’ve got you by the b@lls. And it still wasn’t over. The driver then tells me they can’t deliver on our planned move-in date—it’ll be a week later. What do they do? Drive our belongings from Reno to Las Vegas, unload them, reload them later, and finally drive them to Lincoln, CA. Absolutely absurd. This was hands-down one of the most stressful, unprofessional, comical, and overpriced experiences I’ve ever had. I would never recommend Amerisafe to anyone.

Read More Literally a terrible experience all around. Please read this whole thing, I genuinely have no words to describe how awful this has been. First - they quoted us a lower price, then arrived and tried to upcharge. Second - they arrived, looked at my apartment (even though we'd already given an estimate and detailed list of what would be moved), and said they couldn't do it because they didn't have enough space in the van, or enough time. They said they didn't know it wasn't all going to be packed already and didn't bring any boxes or tape. We HAD paid for a full pack and move. They LEFT and didn't come back until the next day, which meant I had to move my flight as I was supposed to be leaving the next day but needed to stay to direct the movers. I also ended up packing more than half the stuff myself, as there was a time crunch, and I was still paying them for "full pack" even though they didn't do most of it. Third - the people AmeriSafe contracted only spoke Spanish and couldn't communicate with me. As such, when I told them to be careful with fragile items, like my PC, they didn't understand me. I watched them drop my $4,000 PC on the ground, and then shove it into the box unceremoniously. Fourth - they didn't label any of the boxes, so I have no idea what was in anything. Five - it's been well over a month and a half, and I have no update on where my stuff is. Last I heard, it's still in the original state. I've tried calling AmeriSafe several times, DURING BUSINESS HOURS, and leaving multiple voicemails to ask for a status update, and I've not heard anything back. I just literally don't have my stuff. In the face of what was already a traumatic move, hence the time crunch, they seem to have just run off with my stuff and my valuable items, which are likely broken now anyway due to the treatment and handling of them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are incredibly unprofessional and fail to respond. A literal scam.

They wait until the day you move to inform you of these price changes so you are pigeonholed into using them. It’s so last minute that you have no time to get another moving company. The “manager” Mike Scott may be the rudest person I’ve ever encountered. He also is a bully and uses scare tactics to make the sale. On top of all of this, the movers didn’t even get all of our belongings! We had to rent a U-Haul trailer and pack our vehicles to the max just to move the rest of our stuff. The movers left in such a hurry after drop off and wouldn’t allow us to look inside the back of the truck. Of course, now we have realized we are missing items. Avoid this company at all costs!

I have to go to the police department now they are holding my stuff hostage requesting cash and fees.Do not use them they will send out anyone who will steal and break your things. They changed the contract and cubic feet after moving my stuff. Once you do business customer service blames you, hangs up and says it's too late. I wish I didn't do this to myself. I thought they were moving my stuff not some criminals they call partners. They are not BBB rated and go under a different name. Look up reviews.

I initially contacted Amerisafe Moving Services for a household move and made it explicitly clear that I required a 26-foot truck to accommodate my belongings. I already had a reservation with Penske for such a truck, but the Amerisafe representative, Andrew, assured me that the company could provide the same size truck for approximately the same cost, with the added convenience of handling gas expenses and loading services. He emphasized that there would be plenty of space for my items based on the inventory I provided. However, I later discovered that I had been scheduled for only 998 cubic feet of truck space—far less than the capacity of a standard 26-foot truck, which holds approximately 1,700 to 1,800 cubic feet. This discrepancy was not explained to me at the time of booking. Instead, Andrew and the team minimized the size of my inventory items to make it appear that the smaller space would suffice, which was clearly misleading. Three days before my scheduled pick-up, I received a FaceTime call to review my items. Shortly afterward, I was informed that the price would increase significantly, despite having already paid a $2,010 deposit. It was during this interaction that I realized the full extent of the bait-and-switch tactics being employed. I was being forced to either agree to the last-minute inflated price or forfeit most of my deposit. In the end, I was refunded only half of my deposit ($1,005). This experience was both frustrating and unacceptable. I chose not to proceed with Amerisafe and canceled the vehicle transport I had also booked with them. Fortunately, I had already begun breaking down my furniture, which allowed me to pivot to another provider. Still, the ordeal was stressful and left me out a considerable amount of money. I believe Amerisafe Moving Services engages in fraudulent practices to secure business under false pretenses and then traps customers into accepting unreasonable terms or suffering financial loss. These tactics are not only unethical, but they may also be illegal. I request that a full investigation into this matter be conducted, and that Amerisafe Moving Services be held accountable. Furthermore, I am requesting a full refund of my deposit, as I did not receive the service promised to me at the time of booking. Buyers beware: based on my experience, I caution others to carefully vet this company before committing to any service.

I DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I have never in my life dealt with a company as dishonest, predatory, and downright vile as AmeriSafe Moving Services. If you are considering using them, RUN in the opposite direction unless you enjoy being lied to, scammed out of thousands of dollars, and left completely stranded without your belongings. I booked a long-distance move from Philadelphia to Florida. I spoke with Dean Rodriguez, who initially came across as polite, professional, and helpful—until he got my money. He swore up and down that my total price was final, with absolutely no hidden fees and that my belongings would be delivered on March 17-18. He even assured me that there was plenty of space on the truck and that I wouldn’t go over my quoted price. I trusted him. That was my first mistake. Moving day comes, and guess what? The movers show up and immediately tell me that my quote is completely meaningless. They refused to load my things unless I paid them an additional $2,000, on top of the $1,000 I had already paid. When I called AmeriSafe to demand answers, I was transferred to Taylor Hamilton, the most condescending and disgusting excuse for a "customer service" representative I have ever encountered. When I told her that I had been blatantly lied to, she did not care in the slightest and told me, “That’s not my problem.” I told her I wanted to cancel, and she mocked me and told me to ‘enjoy my f***ing move’ before hanging up. But it gets even worse. When I looked at my contract, the March 17-18 date Dean sold me was marked "estimated" in the fine print—a convenient detail he forgot to mention when he was scamming me on the phone. I told him I would be arriving in Florida on the 17th, and he said I had to have my items picked up the Thursday prior to ensure they arrived on time. This was the whole reason I traveled to Florida on those dates—to be there when my belongings arrived. When I called to check on my delivery, I was told that my things were still sitting in a warehouse in New Jersey—1,500 miles away. Nobody could give me an answer on when they would be delivered. I had no bed, no clothes except what I was wearing, and had to go buy a blow-up mattress just to have somewhere to sleep. Finally, the movers showed up on Saturday, March 22nd at 8:00 PM. They wanted to charge me another $1,000 to move my stuff from the truck to my apartment because it was beyond 50 feet. When I refused to pay, they left all my stuff on the side of the road and drove away. WARNING: DO NOT USE AMERISAFE MOVING SERVICES—THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! AmeriSafe Moving Services is a fraudulent, predatory, garbage company that exists solely to scam and exploit people. They lie, take your money, and abandon you when you need them most. Their entire business model is based on bait-and-switch tactics, emotional manipulation, and extortion. If you care about your sanity, your money, and your belongings, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They should be shut down and investigated for fraud. I will be reporting them to every consumer protection agency possible, and if you’ve been scammed by them too, I encourage you to do the same.

They admitted they weren’t very good at their jobs when giving estimates but said oh well too bad for you. Their company is an absolute scam. They make it difficult to reach them, they don’t allow you to locate where in transit your items are or at least make it difficult. They are not the route to go if you’d like a company that doesn’t scam you and breaks all your things.
