Moving company in Fairfield, NJ
Although I've used a variety of moving firms in the past, I'll only only utilize American Choice Vanlines going forward. They moved us swiftly and effectively. 5* service and fair prices. Even though moving is difficult, they made it simpler!
I should’ve done research on this company before I hired them and gave them a significant deposit, after reading the horrible reviews I tried to cancel over a month in advance, and they said they would not refund my money, that is red flag number one. When they got to my storage unit, the movers were polite and did a good job, but they told me my price would double from what my original quote was,they indicated that they could take everything off the truck, but at that point, it was too late. Had they told me that my price was going to be double, (after visually looking at my items) and before loading the truck, I would’ve sacrificed my deposit of over $1200 and chaulked it up as a mistake and hired another company. Please do yourself a favor and hire a reputable company. I learned a valuable lesson and hope you don’t repeat the mistake I made.
We were so impressed with American Choice Vanlines, no fuss whatsoever and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and considerate and all for an excellent price. They were so cheerful, packed all of our belongings in the van and unloaded everything really quickly with no breakages or issues. Their attention to detail was formidable and they were very helpful in suggesting where we could place our furniture in each room. In the end, they asked us to walk around and check if there was anything in the wrong place which we wanted them to move.
Do not use this moving company at all. They promise to show up in there “own” company moving trucks and instead contract with someone else to come in a move you to a new location. They way under estimate how much space they a lot you and try to tell you there’s plenty of room for a 3bdrm 2bath house in 883cubic feet. They also will not mention that they have insurance to cover any damages that may happen during the move.
The team was first-rate all the way through. They arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and professionally. They were extremely careful to wrap and secure all of my fragile possessions before loading the vehicle. They went so far as to help me set up my new home with furniture. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone planning a move.
First thing first: IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE, THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE Good things first: The three movers we worked with were super friendly and nice. They agreed on when they will drop off our things and were always very nice about the whole situation...THATS it. What happened to us. First of all, the movers told us and agreed with us on a time to be there (9 a.m.), after calling the driver three times, he finally answered us and told us that he was in the middle of another job...which was 4 hours from my house they were suppose to deliver at. After the drivers said they apologies and blamed dispatch for "the last minute job the HAD to take or else" and then agreed that they will be at my house at 4 p.m. Now fast forward to a dozen phone calls that won't go through to the driver and it being 10 p.m. at night, they called saying they were 10 minutes away and said they just finished RELOADED our stuff to the truck. They showed up an hour later at 11 p.m...now lets talk about this "white glove service". I would NEVER call this white glove service. They left all of our boxes in the garage, the movers complained about moving and setting up our bed set and then was MAD when I did not tip them (I tipped them already very well once they packed the van from the pick up location). ***not posting photos, due to showing location and personal items***
The finest part was that we were able to save an hour's worth of labor costs because the lads worked so hard and swiftly. The four movers, William, and the owner who followed up to see how things were going thereafter all blew my mind. I would definitely hire them again.
DO NOT USE! They are a broker and not authorized to arrange for interstate transportation of household goods. They should not be operating or offering these services. They will not refund deposits with notice like other reputable movers will. Hopefully, they will be shut down by authorities soon.
From pickup to delivery absolutely terrible. Price more than doubled items missing , lied to and I can go on and on. Do yourself a big favor save time money and aggravation. Don’t do it. 1 star is to many
The team was fantastic all the way through. They were professional, kind, and clearly had plenty of expertise. They showed up exactly when they said they would and supplied everything I needed, including protective coverings for my floors and furniture. They were also very careful with my belongings and worked fast.
