My move from Detroit, MI to Charlotte, NC was handled extremely well. The movers were friendly, punctual, and clearly experienced with long-distance moves. Everything arrived safely and on time.
We relocated from Jacksonville, FL to Charlotte, NC after welcoming our second child. America First Moving was patient, friendly, and efficient — they made what could’ve been a stressful move completely manageable.
Our family needed to relocate from Tampa, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina after accepting a new job opportunity. With three bedrooms and years of accumulated belongings, we were overwhelmed. America First Moving showed up prepared, patient, and respectful of our space. They handled furniture, kids’ items, and fragile pieces with equal care. It felt reassuring to work with a company that truly understood family moves.
I moved from Stamford, Connecticut to Minneapolis, Minnesota for a promotion. America First Moving walked me through each step, provided clear updates, and handled all my furniture with care. Their team was professional, friendly, and punctual. Moving long distance can be stressful, but this company made it completely manageable.
Moving from Jacksonville, FL to Richmond, VA with a 3 bedroom home was a huge undertaking. America First Moving managed it all with professionalism, making sure every box and piece of furniture arrived safely.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
Let me start off by saying we absolutely couldn't ask for a better less stressful service me and my wife didn't know how we were going to make this happen America first moving were very professional and understanding I assure you we had a million questions lol thanks guys we highly recommend them
DO NOT USE. Scammers and crooks. Any positive reviews are scams. Check out their better business bureau rating. Here are the facts: 1. Your price will double 2 days before the pickup. (Bait and switch) 2. If you want it within the 2-3 days you asked for delivery they will add $1K (no disclosure at sale.) Without paying this, expect items to arrive 3-4 weeks later. 3. Your items get moved on/off trucks-warehouse multiple times. Boxes THROWN on the truck in a pile. Zero professional movers involved. 4. Items will be damaged and totally LOST. 5. You won't be compensated. Your credit company can't help. 6. The people who sell you the contract will vanish; the service reps will blame you for everything. MY ADVICE: A cross country move will only go well if you do it yourself (UHaul pod serice is fabulous, 1/3rd the cost) or hire a prominent national mover.
