Our family relocated from Plano, Texas to Naperville, Illinois so we could spend Christmas closer to grandparents. America First Moving handled our kids’ furniture carefully and labeled everything clearly, which made unpacking during the holidays much easier.
I moved from Tallahassee to Charleston, SC from a 2-bedroom townhouse. America First Moving was outstanding! They carefully handled my bookshelves, plants, and tech gear. The team was on time, respectful, and worked hard until everything was done right.
I moved from Fresno, CA to Denver, CO and was impressed with how organized the entire move was. The movers handled my belongings carefully, especially my glass table and bedroom furniture, and everything arrived right on schedule.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.
Moving from Portland, OR to Miami, FL sounded overwhelming, but America First Moving made it painless. They wrapped our furniture carefully and kept constant communication through the trip. Everything arrived intact and on time.
