Keep away your valuables from this company
We hired Alma Moving to move our belongings from Charlotte, NC to Norfolk, VA (only a 5-hour distance). Before signing, their representative promised delivery within 1–3 days. Based on this, we signed. • After pickup on August 15, nothing arrived within 3 days. • Then they told us 7 days. Still nothing. • Later, they claimed our belongings were “on the way,” but weeks passed. Today it has been 25 days, and we still don’t know where our belongings are. They never respond to emails, only through BBB. We even asked to pick up our items ourselves, but they ignored us. At pickup, their staff wrapped our couch in a dirty blanket, even though we provided clean plastic covers. This makes us worry that our items are being stored in poor, unhygienic conditions. We have been forced to live in an empty house, buy new essentials, and suffer both financial and emotional stress. If our belongings arrive damaged, we will take legal action. We strongly warn others: do not trust Alma Moving. They are misleading, unprofessional, and provide false information just to make you sign.

Everything went smoothly
What an outstanding job the company did! They showed up, gave me a free quote, scheduled the move, and even offered storage for less than other moving companies charge per month. They were there ahead of schedule and wrapped and boxed all the necessary items. I highly suggest their services and will use them again.

Quick and Effortless!
Jack and his team moved us safely, working and collaborating like a family. They turned the entire procedure into a celebration, and our stuff was arranged in our new home with a huge help. They charged me a very reasonable price and provided me with an online payment service.

Great Service
The process of packing was never one of my favorites, and thus, I am glad to have received some assistance. Items were packed in an excellent way, and they were all protected adequately. It is also worth mentioning that boxes were properly labeled, making unpacking much easier for me. The entire process of transportation went without any problems. My things arrived safely, and the movers stayed positive.

Stunning Movers!
Lifting my heavy sectional seemed hard to me, but the movers made it look easy. I found it amazing how skilfully they drove the truck in close quarters with no damage.

Keep away your valuables from this company
The movers took many breaks throughout the task, including a 45-minute lunch break while the clock ran. It seemed like a rip-off when I had to pay for their longer break time. They need to manage their time more fairly and effectively.

Highly recommend!
The movers were really polite and worked tirelessly to get everything packed and loaded. They helped me disassemble my bed frame! The total cost came to about $9,800, but with the level of service I received, I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!
