Read More They call you keep you phone for an hour going over every room etc for what feels like a well thought out quote. It was 8900 for a 300 mile pack and move but the catch was you had to put a depo down that day to lock in quote my non refundable depo was $2700. Then two days before mover arrives one of the or move specialists called me went over all my items and said it was $3,900 more. I said I don’t want to is you. They said fine well keep your deposit. It’s blackmail people this scam….but it gets worse….mivees show and do the work and say oh they were off.by and another $3k. Now your stuff is on the truck….the move cost my wife and I 16k. Run away from these criminal boiler room casters as fast as you can people. Learn from me as I’m screwed but you aren’t yet…only in Florida would this be legal and yes of course they are Florida based at least in licensing….

Read More If I could put zero stars, I would. I wouldn't use this company if I had zero choices, and this was the only one left. Not only Will rip you off, They will make a bogus accusations, Charge you for things that you didnt have, Horrible communication skills, It's their way or the highway. They lie about the quantity of items they're moving. Just don't. When the mover arrived today to deliver my items, he was solo. That's against the law.

The original moving estimate was $2.2K, and by the time they subcontracted to two(2) other companies, which were terrible, I ended up paying $7.2K to move my daughter from *********, ** to **********. When I reached back out to the Vanquard representatives, the woman was rude to me, as if I wasn't a client. She had the same attitude as the G&M Movers representative, very negative. I was accused of hollering at the representative, when that wasn't true. Threatened to place me on hold like I was a child. Unfortunately, my daughter was intimidated by the men that showed up at her place in ************, hovering over her as she tried to navigate the situation and get help from both representatives on the phone from G&M Movers (contracted mover) and called Vanguard Moving Services - no answer of course!! She had a flight to move back to the west coast in a few days and shut down all details in **, so she was nervous and felt a lot of pressure. This company is a disgraceful company, and they low-ball estimates and bring in more unacceptable business entities whose businesses should be shut down. When her belongings finally made it to **********, she had to call the police in order to deal with the driver and owner of yet another subcontracted company, ** Movers who collected the remaining payment amount of this $7.2K raggedy deal. Both my husband and I were dealing with the fiasco until all of her assets were unloaded ~ a total nightmare situation. The ****** here is to do your research on any company that you're doing business with; my daughter is young and was trying to handle her business and obviously trusted this unprofessional and crooked company.

The service was requested by my now deceased partner. We finally got a partial load six weeks later. In a drive I made in 1.5 days towing a car.I counted 30 boxes to ship ... Read More The service was requested by my now deceased partner. We finally got a partial load six weeks later. In a drive I made in 1.5 days towing a car.I counted 30 boxes to ship and only 24 showed up.Inherited items and family heirlooms simply gone.With no response from anyone.The quality of the move on a scale of one to ten,ten being the worst.I would call this a twenty.Not to mention they go through all your stuff.all boxes were gone through and retaped.zTheft can be the only reason.Then to top it off you get extorted where if you don't pay the bill your stuff goes into storage.Just a plain ripoff. There is ZERO value in using this company.How can this company exist?You tell me.Maybe someone gets some payola while unsuspecting people get reamed,but good by vanguard.This company is from Florida and our stuff went to California to be rummaged through for 5 weeks.And slowly delivered six weeks later.These clowns need to be put out of business.Not to mention they have their own employees make the reviews.Crooked thru and thru.I cannot take a picture of things that did not show up.

Read More -5 stars Do not hire this company. Hired them to move from NM to TN after the death of my father, based on the low cost I was quoted. I should have just hired a UHaul to do the work for me. Price was more than double what I was quoted. Guaranteed that the one driver would deliver by that weekend, wrong! Different driver, who didn't speak English, showed up with a partial load 2 weeks later, items broken, items missing. When the complete load showed up 2 weeks after the first load, I'm talking business days not regular 14 days later, more items broken or missing and then I can't file a claim because no claim form was ever sent. A year later I still can't find items. When my belongings were delivered only the driver and one other person showed up at 6 pm then tried to charge me more for the delivery and threatened to charge more if they had to store my items. I had many antique pieces that are beyond repair now because of their ineptitude. You're better off using Uhaul and placing an ad on Craigslist for someone to help than hire this company. If I could I'd give them stars I would.

The initial contact who gets your "deposit" and signature on move was sleazy and was more like a used car sales person just to get the order and signature. The movers came to pick my things up and wouldn't start moving into Van until I agreed to pay double the quote. They said it was misquoted and the load was larger than expected. They have you hostage. Had to fight with main office. The movers didn't speak English very well (or they alleged). There are 3 different companies involved in moving your things. At drop off, they wouldn't accept a cashiers ck payable to Vanguard because movers are a different company with a different name. They needed my signature again to be able to accept the ck and needed to go to Staples at 7 at night to get paperwork. Couldn't back out of driveway with the load, so unloaded my things in driveway (poor parking job), then still couldn't get out of drive to get paperwork so brought things inside. Long story longer, they got stuck in driveway because they miscalculated the slope of driveway. The movers were very unprofessional and not a part of the Vanguard company. They must outsource their movers to any jokers who are available to pick things up. They dropped and broke my office desk. Not reputable at all. BEWARE!!!!

They contract out jobs, they keep any down payment if you cancel, it’s difficult to get in touch with them if you have questions, and they charge exorbitant fees in the end. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
