Read More Working with William B Myer was just an honor, the driver Jose Varas worked on our system moving our house from Connecticut to South Carolina The local technicians from William B Myer and also from United down here at South Carolina worked 110%. We highly recommend them to anybody that is moving out of state to use their service, it was just a nice piece of mind to know that we did not have to worry about any of the move. By the way the price was right on and a good price

Read More United van is simply the best moving company ever. Two gentlemen showed up on time and finished the work in a timely manner. Strongly recommend. Plus, their wrapping the package department is savage and i had my best time with them as they were so humorous and funny. We had lunch together and it such a swift move.

Furniture is very badly damaged scratched up everywhere.I was going to use white glove but Amilea kept calling me and telling me how they are a family owned business that really takes care of their customers. So sorry I didn’t use White Glove. Carlos and they men tried their best . Furniture still got damaged broken glass shelf’s. Carlos did replace the glass. Would not ever recommend them very bad experience.

Driver demanded crating a TV That was not necessary and 3rd party had to cone back out which was an added charge.

Read More Do not agree to their “tariff - UMT1”. Ask to read it and pay particular attention to the part that states if they create an “overflow shipment” situation, they can be any length of time beyond their delivery window and not have to pay you anything if you file a delay claim. The bad part about this “tariff” is that they are in total control of the logistics of a move and can show up at your move with an almost full van and then tell you that you have an “overflow” (due to their poor planning) and then take advantage of their ability to not be contractually obligated to their delivery date obligation. If I can warn anyone not to hire United this will at least be the consolation that I get for them being collusive.`

Low pay and micro managing are a killer for drivers. This company has mangers in place that do exactly that

Also left us with the broken furniture to dispose of... Poor service, poor communication. Look for alternatives.

United Van Lines charged us .77 cents a pound to move our items from Massachusetts to Florida. Not very communicative, said they would call the day before they were to pi ... Read More United Van Lines charged us .77 cents a pound to move our items from Massachusetts to Florida. Not very communicative, said they would call the day before they were to pick up our furniture and the day before arrival of our furniture. They arrived a day early to pick up the furniture and a day late to deliver the furniture. The person who quoted the price said that if we were under the weight given, they would refund us the difference. Never did he say it would be a huge price discrepancy. Signed the contract and did not bring as much stuff as we planned. I though no big deal, we will get reimbursed. We had to have a bank check to pay for the move, a little over $14,333. We were under by 2,000 plus pounds. They only paid us .16 cents a pound refund. No one ever mentioned this, he said it was in the contract. I do no believe it was. If it was, you should state this major discrepancy. Not too happy about losing 1,000 of dollars.

They refused to compensate me for the lost items. $5000 worth of damage / lost items and they offers me $575 in compensation. Do not use this company.
