The movers did a great job keeping the relocation on track. They used proper care with bulky furniture and made sure smaller boxes stayed organized. The delivery and unloading went smoothly.
The movers arrived well after the scheduled time, and there was very little communication beforehand. This caused a major delay in my plans for the day. The loading itself was also quite slow. Overall, I found the experience disappointing.
I had thought that I would have at least one broken piece after I moved, but thankfully everything made it to me in good condition. I had lots of friends recommend United Express Moving And Storage movers to me, and I can see why. They wrapped up my glass dining table and I was amazed that nothing happened to it during the journey. They were careful with my delicate objects and checked to make sure everything was in order before they set off.
The movers showed up on schedule, were kind, efficient, and strong enough to handle all of our heavy furniture. The guys in the office and the sales reps who answer the phone do everything it takes to make United Express Moving & Storage customers happy. In my view, they are great for any major migration.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The rep we talked to was demeaning and disrespectful, they hired Fairway moving and storage to move our things and they tried to charge for every 7 steps they went up after we were told the 1st floor of stairs were free. We got quoted a price which included 25 large boxes and they still tried to charge us almost 2000 dollars more to take the rest of our move. We ended only giving them half because we didn’t have enough money. Stuff came broken from our boxes. Our bed frame was missing screws. Boxes were broken upon delivery. Please don’t waste your time with this company they’re scammers. They make it sound good over the phone. They don’t have their own trucks they hire other people and it’s always room for a loss of translation. Terrible service
They were able to move around with relative ease. a combination of promptness and competence. I moved all of the furniture to my new home by myself, including wrapping, packing, and transporting it.
United Express Moving & Storage gave very deceptive cost quotes throughout the process. Their final cost was 40% higher (final $2,500 vs original $1,500) than the original estimate while the number of items actually moved only had 2 additional items vs the original estimate. Both the sales rep (who provided the initial estimate) and the Quality Control person (who finalized items to be moved), made huge misrepresentations and extremely underestimated the cubic footage and cost. And they do NOT offer any compromise, such as reducing my final cost, even a token amount. And they hold your furniture hostage until you pay in full. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER FOR ANY MOVES!!!
The move had several avoidable problems from beginning to end. There was a late arrival, unclear communication, and the work took considerably longer than expected. I spent much of the day trying to keep everything on track. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations.
Andrew and his crew were fantastic. Moving is stressful, but these guys were kind, careful, and communicative. I highly recommend moving with United Express Moving & Storage and would do it again.
