The movers arrived well after the scheduled time, and there was very little communication beforehand. This caused a major delay in my plans for the day. The loading itself was also quite slow. Overall, I found the experience disappointing.
I liked that they weren't rushed to finish quickly, but with the delicate elements. They handled all fragile items individually and stored them safely.
The moving crew handled the home relocation in an organized and careful manner. They protected the furniture before loading and treated the household boxes responsibly. The team worked efficiently throughout the day, and the unloading was completed neatly at the new house.
United Express Moving & Storage gave very deceptive cost quotes throughout the process. Their final cost was 40% higher (final $2,500 vs original $1,500) than the original estimate while the number of items actually moved only had 2 additional items vs the original estimate. Both the sales rep (who provided the initial estimate) and the Quality Control person (who finalized items to be moved), made huge misrepresentations and extremely underestimated the cubic footage and cost. And they do NOT offer any compromise, such as reducing my final cost, even a token amount. And they hold your furniture hostage until you pay in full. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER FOR ANY MOVES!!!
I had items that were delicate and I didn't want to move them, but this team took extra care with them. They took special care with the padding, treated it in the most delicate way, and made sure it all made it home. Excellent service!
I had thought that I would have at least one broken piece after I moved, but thankfully everything made it to me in good condition. I had lots of friends recommend United Express Moving And Storage movers to me, and I can see why. They wrapped up my glass dining table and I was amazed that nothing happened to it during the journey. They were careful with my delicate objects and checked to make sure everything was in order before they set off.
I would give 0 stars if possible. I was told “half truths” from the first conversation on to the last call (#4). They are brokers, not as Jason stated the #3 moving van. And from that point, it was a game. Make sure to ask every question in the book about your move. No upfront information is provided. Customer service is a joke. They read from a script and unless you ask specific questions, no additional information is provided. They will tack on charges along the way. Blame the actual trucking company. And not provide any assistance after that initial deposit. So good luck if you choose to use this farce of a service. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t do it again. But hey, that’s just me. If you go this route, I’d suggest that you plan on additional charges down the road.
