My move was just one couch, two chairs, and 10 boxes, but the crew treated it like a big job. Everything was packed neatly. I’d definitely use them again.
I asked Swift Shift Van Lines to move my baking equipment to a different kitchen. They loaded the mixers, trays, and boxes of ingredients without rushing. Everything ended up in the right place when they were done unloading.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
The movers stayed patient as I made last-minute changes. They didn’t complain once; instead, they quickly adjusted things and kept working hard. That flexibility made the entire relocation process so much easier than I anticipated.
I am so glad I hired this team because they made my move look like a breeze. The truck was plenty big enough for all my clothes and kitchen supplies. They handled my television with a lot of care and made sure it was stable for the drive. It was a very smooth experience from start to finish. Swift Shift Van Lines really knows how to get the job done right.
This incredible crew helped us move during a winter storm. They arrived with safety mats and covered the floor inside my new apartment so that snow wouldn't be tracked in. They also took further precautions to protect my books and electronics by placing them in airtight containers. Despite the severe weather, I was surprised by the degree of professionalism.
A piano and a number of large shards of glass needed moving. By including additional padding, they ensured that everything arrived in one piece.
I would use Swift Shift Van Lines again. James moved my fridge without unplugging it first, which I thought was strange, but he explained that waiting for the coils to settle would take too long.
This team was very efficient with my move; I was surprised how easily it went. They remained very organized throughout.
My delicate Victorian chairs as well as my large sectional were all handled and transported very well. They were all very pleasant, so they became more than helpful—they were also enjoyable at the same time.
