Fast response for a last-minute storage unit clear-out. I called Swift Shift Van Lines on short notice. They showed up quickly, right on time. We had decades of piled-up items inside. The crew loaded everything efficiently and quickly. They even swept the unit clean before they left. The entire job was finished before noon.
The worst moving company on this planet, and I have moved a lot, including cross continents and cross country. They give you a sale pitch with low price and how no additional fees will possibly occur and once they take your deposit, it all goes down hill. They increased price almost two fold because of changes in inventory of 10 more boxes (75 vs. 65 boxes caused price increase from $2.5k to $4.5k) in a scale of one bedroom apartment move with furniture. The person on the phone doing final inventory was rude and straight up said take $4.5 final or lose your 1k deposit, which also happened right before the move leaving me absolutely no choice but pay double. Then, they said they would provide insurance in advance (required by my building) and in the end I only saw insurance after driver showed up. Company that showed up had their own fees, that were not part of my contract with swift shift van lines, or even explicitly I was told in the contract that I wouldn't pay ("no elevator charge"), that I was forced to pay in advance otherwise they wouldn't start the move. They sent too few people and move took so long, they went over 1 hour outside of the window that my building allowed for moves (which I made company aware multiple times) and caused serious friction with management in my building. Upon arrival of my stuff across the country, additional fees were imposed that were not part of my contract (which I was forced to pay if I wanted to get my stuff back) for the total of $5.1k (vs. $2.5k quote I received when I started talking to them). Cherry on top - they made me sign inventory before they delivered and then they lost an electric scooter worth $1.3k and did absolutely nothing about it! I got back $20 from insurance claim!!! Multiple items were also damaged. Not a single lamp survived their "white glove" service. Absolutely, not under a gun point would I ever agree or recommend this company to anyone.
They kept everything stable during the drive. When we reached, nothing had shifted around, which made unloading quicker. We had a flawless, full service move.
Our big dresser was really heavy and hard to move, but these movers had a clever trick. They put these things under it that made it slide easily across the floor without leaving any scratches on our beautiful new hardwood.
These guys are great; they get the job done and are kind to boot. The relocation was accomplished rapidly, and all items were treated with the highest care throughout.
They were a godsend when I needed extra moving services on the scene last minute! They managed to fit me into their calendar, were punctual, and got things done quickly. I can't thank them enough!
So my move was complicated because my new place has a really narrow hallway. I warned them about it when they got here. The guys just nodded, measured it, and figured out a plan on the spot. They angled my bookcase perfectly and got it through without a scratch on the wall or the furniture. I was amazed.
When I moved out of a two-bedroom apartment, I hired movers who were fantastic. They were very careful with my fragile possessions and protected each piece of furniture with its own cover. Observing the process of loading the truck was like to solving a puzzle because everything fit perfectly and efficiently. They helped me reassemble my bed at the new place and there were no dents or damages.
Carl and his crew helped me move out of a two-bedroom condo. They handled my glass dining table with care, taped every corner, and placed it perfectly in my new place.
Incredible movers! They were especially careful with my delicate glassware, wrapped them skillfully, and provided me with special boxes. They took apart my large, old wardrobe and put it back together again flawlessly, which was like a cherry on top. They genuinely cared for my priceless possessions.
