I was worried about a glass bookshelf and expensive mirrors. The corners were protected and well-padded. Packing my dishwasher, blender, and slow cooker together with labels made unpacking easier. There was no need to do anything.
The moving team was not only efficient but also really friendly. They made the whole experience pleasant. They took extra care with my mirrors and paintings, and nothing got damaged. They also helped me unpack a few boxes to get started.
Swift Shift Van Lines has the best customer service of any moving company. In the past, they've helped me a lot. I have a lot of respect for them. Not only did they not overcharge me, but they also did not break or lose any of my things during the move.
We had several glass tables and mirrors in our move. The crew wrapped them carefully, taped the corners, and carried them without rushing. Every fragile item made it into the new place safely. Stellar job
So my move was complicated because my new place has a really narrow hallway. I warned them about it when they got here. The guys just nodded, measured it, and figured out a plan on the spot. They angled my bookcase perfectly and got it through without a scratch on the wall or the furniture. I was amazed.
We also relocated from state to state, and had to arrange delivery times. The movers arrived on time, and everything was transported safely. We recommend them!
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
My desk was tricky with all the wires, but Jack made sure everything was unplugged and packed safely. Reassembled it like it was brand new.
The movers were courteous enough to maintain cleanliness during my recent move. Since it was raining and they had to move in and out of the house for loading, they fetched carpets and mats and put them all over the house. After they were done, they did a final check to see if my place looked clean too. I honestly value their generosity!
Swift Shift Van Lines handled my move from one state to the other. The crew sorted the boxes by room before loading. It saved us time later when we started unpacking everything.
