We were in the process of moving into our house, which had just been renovated, so I was extremely worried about the walls and floors. The movers took great care in moving all the things in. They spared no time with the larger pieces of furniture and did not cause any damage.
Cannot review Swift Shift for moving services as they are just brokers with good sales people who tell you they are giving you a very good price because otherwise one of their trucks will be heading back to Florida empty, thus you are getting a very good deal, but you need to decide quickly. Then they make you pay 30% non-refundable deposit, which is basically their cut for booking the order. What I mostly hold them responsible for is lying to get your business and then contracting the moving companies who leave customers with long lasting frustration, disappointment, loss of trust in the good and reliable service, and damaged and lost items. In our case it was alphamovingservices.com. Once we signed the contract we were directed to the contracted moving company that told us they have their own rules. The lesson learned if we ever need to move again. But for the starters, my first piece of advice would be to hire small company or private movers who you will directly work with from start to finish and who do not make you pay deposits that are not refundable after 48 hrs of booking. Pay attention to not so bright reviews as I'm very puzzled with how Swift Shift got so many when they are not after all just a broker and not the moving company.
When I moved out of a two-bedroom apartment, I hired movers who were fantastic. They were very careful with my fragile possessions and protected each piece of furniture with its own cover. Observing the process of loading the truck was like to solving a puzzle because everything fit perfectly and efficiently. They helped me reassemble my bed at the new place and there were no dents or damages.
I had to move my two-bedroom apartment, and I was anxious about how everything would go. But these guys were so efficient! They labeled every box with "fragile" or "heavy" based on the contents, which was super helpful when unpacking. My large sectional sofa barely fit through the doorframe, but they figured it out without damaging the walls or the sofa. They also helped pack some last-minute items that I forgot to do myself. The cherry on top was that they cleaned up after themselves and left nothing behind.
This is a perfect circumstance for me. They were pleasant to work with, showed up when they said they would, and got the job done fast but efficiently.
Terrible deceptive company!!! I I would rate zero stars! This appears to be the biggest Scam operation for moving out there. I was scammed my deposit and the movers didn’t even show up and they refuse to refund my money. They said the truck was too full and they didn’t have anyone available for my entire travel stay of 10 days. There are many complaints online. They are not accredited by Better Business Bureau and many many terrible reviews and complaints. I am a widow and I feel extremely violated by this company and I’m not alone because they’ve done it to many many other people.Do not write them a check you’ll never see your money again, and they won’t provide the services that they claim to provide. They don’t care about you. They are supposedly moving brokers not a moving . It’s a big scam. They will say anything. Very sly and deceptive.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
Couldn't be happier with how the move turned out. The movers arrived right at sunrise, ready to handle all the catering supplies for my new kitchen setup. They carefully organized pans, racks, and coolers by size and made sure everything was securely sealed before loading. The whole experience was smooth, efficient, and stress-free from beginning to end.
We just moved out of our 3-bedroom condo, and the movers were incredible. They handled all our valuables with great care!
At the last minute, I didn't have enough boxes to hold all my trinkets. Fortunately, the group had a supply of extra packing materials and cartons. They immediately jumped in to help me pack those odds and ends. I stayed within my budget, and the relocation was completed on schedule.
