I arranged my relocation from TX to NY through Swift Shift Van Lines after a family recommendation. Their team explained each stage clearly and followed up before the shipment left port. The updates came when expected, and the delivery reached the new address on the date discussed.
After a divorce, I had to move out of my family home, which was a difficult experience. The movers were incredibly respectful and made the process much easier. They packed up my things with care, and I was grateful for how kind they were throughout the whole process. They moved everything quickly, and I felt relieved to have one less thing to worry about during a tough time.
Despite providing an accurate listing of all our box numbers and furniture, Swift Shift Van Lines tried charging us nearly double the original estimated price, even though our original and moving day inventories were almost identical. We were disappointed by their inaccurate cost estimation, which caused twice as much financial stress on moving day. Regarding their delivery process, we received inconsistent information from different representatives at Swift Shift Van Lines: 1) In the initial phone call, we were told that the average delivery time is 3-5 days after pickup. 2) On the moving day, the mover said delivery could occur in 3 days. 3) One day after pickup, another representative said delivery would occur in 1-5 business days. 4) In the last email communication, another representative informed us that delivery would take 5-15 business days. As of today, it is Day 5 after the pickup, and we still have no information regarding the delivery. If you don't want to experience difficult times in an empty apartment without your belongings, do NOT work with Swift Shift Van Lines.
The movers left packing materials, tape, and plastic wraps scattered all over my home. They didn’t bother cleaning up after themselves. I had to spend hours cleaning up the mess they left behind. For the price I paid, I expected them to at least leave my place in decent condition.
Terrible. This is NOT a moving company, this is a broker. They are NOT up front about that. Save yourself the time, money, and effort and hire a moving company DIRECTLY, not through these scam artists.
I’ve moved two times in the last ten years, so I have a good basis for comparison. This was by far the most straightforward experience. The team was focused and got the work done. I’d tell anyone asking to just book them and not worry about it.
This company is very professional and goes above and beyond to make sure that its customers are taken care of. The movers were professional, quick, courteous, pleasant, and careful. They did a great job of moving everything into our new office without any problems. Loved their work and speed! Will recommend!
