Everything was done in about 4 hours, which matched what they told me earlier. That made it easier for me to plan the rest of my day.
I was lied to from the beginning by Nicole Jones. I specifically asked if they were brokers, I was assured they have their own movers and trucks. MAP movers showed up. Neither moving men spoke English, one could barely see so I had to fill out my own billing paperwork having no idea what I was doing. They arrived at 530 pm and didn't finish until after midnight. All kinds of extra charges amounting to several thousand dollars over my initial bill. Jordan at swift shift was dismissive of me during a call to update my items to be moved. He never officially updated my list so the movers charged me extra for everything Jordan failed to add to my list. I can not get a delivery date from anyone. So I have no idea when my things will be arriving. I have emailed repeatedly with no response. Just a mess. Moving cross country is already stressful, but I couldn't have chosen a worse moving company to deal with.
Andrew and his unit men worked like well-oiled machines, always in sync and always ready to get the job done. They skillfully navigated my massive sectional sofa via narrow hallways and entrances. My mattress was transported with the utmost care; the movers even provided additional straps to keep it in place on the truck.
Swift Shift Van Lines was suggested to me, and they delivered as promised. The service I received from Michael from the first call through the estimate and moving day was outstanding. The week before, he made sure I was doing okay, which was reassuring. And on that potentially tense day, he and another person kept things lighthearted and even comical. They were cheerful, and the rain was of no concern to them. Much appreciation, everyone!
Their management and service providing game is unrivalled. Despite the fact that I rescheduled my relocation on a really short notice, the movers executed everything from packing to unloading timely. They reassembled heavy pieces of furniture and even remounted my curtain rods at the new place. Recommended highly!
The moving experience with this company produced only positive results. They arrived at the scheduled time to perform their tasks with focus and precision until completing all the safe loading and unloading operations. Friendly behavior among their staff made the entire moving process more pleasant for me.
I was mostly concerned about my collection of large indoor plants because they are very sensitive to being moved around too much. The team made sure to keep the tall palms upright and wedged them in safely so they wouldn't tip over during the sharp turns on the road. I am so happy that every single leaf made it to the sunroom without any damage.
This was a weekend move for my wardrobe only. Clothing racks, shoe boxes, mirrors, and a vanity. The movers brought hanging boxes. Dresses stayed on hangers. Shoes stayed paired. Mirrors were padded fully. The vanity fit through the door without removing legs. I was impressed by that.
Incredible movers! They were especially careful with my delicate glassware, wrapped them skillfully, and provided me with special boxes. They took apart my large, old wardrobe and put it back together again flawlessly, which was like a cherry on top. They genuinely cared for my priceless possessions.
Jack and James handled our belongings with the utmost care, working swiftly, efficiently, and attentively as they rearranged the furniture, causing no damage. I'm grateful for everything, and I can't imagine having anyone other than Swift Shift Van Lines handle the transfer of your house.
