Right after signing the contract we were funneled off to subcontractors. One in New York and another for delivery in North Carolina. The subcontractors who did the pick up swindled my son out of an additional $363.75 saying more than our 300 cubic feet was used because they couldn't stack boxes on top of furniture. However, when the moving truck arrived in North Carolina, all of the boxes were stacked on furniture in the back of the truck. Second, we paid for packing and unpacking but the guy who delivered was by himself and said he didn't have time to unpack anything. Therefore, we are owed 1/2 of the $300 packing fee.
I noticed scratches on a dresser after the move. While accidents can happen, I was disappointed by how the company handled my complaint. I never received a proper resolution.

They treated her belongings with care and took extra time with her fragile keepsakes. They even helped arrange furniture in her new space. The entire team showed genuine empathy, which made the day feel significantly lighter than we expected.
I was very pleased with the attention they gave to me and my things. I had no trouble getting my couch, espresso table and decorations neatly packed. Everything was done properly, the labels of each box were checked and the walkways around my house were kept free so I could set up later.
My garage had shelves, tools, and bikes. The movers packed it all neatly and stacked everything in storage. I still have walking space inside the unit. That level of organization is rare.
Honestly, I didn’t expect much since it was a small job. But these guys treated it like a full move. They packed, labeled, and stacked everything neatly inside. It took less than 45 minutes, and they were professional the whole time.
Go ahead and book them if you have a lot of stairs like I do. My new place is on the third floor with no elevator, and I had a heavy treadmill and a weight bench that needed to go up. Those guys didn't complain once, even though it was nearly 90 degrees outside. They just put their heads down and got it done safely. I am seriously impressed with the hustle they showed throughout the entire afternoon.
To make sure everything was well after the transfer, Richard called a few days later to check-in. When it comes to companies that genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction, Swift Shift Van Lines stands out. A resounding yes!
Because Swift Shift Van Lines was great, I hired them. I'm very happy with how professional, friendly, and good at managing they are. The movers were great. They were nice, careful, and on time. The price was still very low, which was a surprise. I want to use them again for my future projects because they helped me with everything I needed. I've never worked with a moving company like this one before. Do a great job!
