James and his crew were incredibly careful and accommodating with my belongings throughout the shipment. That is the course of action I would urge them to adopt.
Right after signing the contract we were funneled off to subcontractors. One in New York and another for delivery in North Carolina. The subcontractors who did the pick up swindled my son out of an additional $363.75 saying more than our 300 cubic feet was used because they couldn't stack boxes on top of furniture. However, when the moving truck arrived in North Carolina, all of the boxes were stacked on furniture in the back of the truck. Second, we paid for packing and unpacking but the guy who delivered was by himself and said he didn't have time to unpack anything. Therefore, we are owed 1/2 of the $300 packing fee.
I recommend this company to anyone in need of secure relocation assistance. The staff helped me take my belongings downstairs and took good care of my TV and furnishings (unlike other firms who chuck stuff in the vehicle). They arrived 10 minutes early. He assisted me in moving all of the furniture into the rooms of the new home when we moved into our new house, and he removed his shoes upstairs to protect my newly installed carpeting.
The movers showed patience when dealing with larger and more difficult pieces. They protected the items and handled them carefully during loading and unloading. Their professionalism was appreciated.
My wife and I had a comfortable relocation experience. Alan and his team of 3 were efficient workers and handled everything from packing to delivery exceptionally well. They even reassembled our furniture and reinstalled our TV and fridge for us after delivery – and that too without extra charges. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!
I had to move into a third-floor walk-up with no elevator. I apologized a few times, but the crew just laughed and said it was fine. They kept working without complaining once. they handled everything very well.
A small thing, but they kept the doors and walls from getting marked while moving larger items. I did not have to go back and fix anything later, which saved extra effort.
I was awestruck with how organized this moving company was. They made unpacking at the new place so much easier. They even double-checked each room before leaving to make sure everything was delivered to the right spot.
I had a few antique pieces that belonged to my grandmother, and I was very nervous about moving them. Swift Shift Van Lines took the time to wrap them in extra padding, and everything arrived in perfect condition.
So my move was complicated because my new place has a really narrow hallway. I warned them about it when they got here. The guys just nodded, measured it, and figured out a plan on the spot. They angled my bookcase perfectly and got it through without a scratch on the wall or the furniture. I was amazed.
