Our big dresser was really heavy and hard to move, but these movers had a clever trick. They put these things under it that made it slide easily across the floor without leaving any scratches on our beautiful new hardwood.
Despite providing an accurate listing of all our box numbers and furniture, Swift Shift Van Lines tried charging us nearly double the original estimated price, even though our original and moving day inventories were almost identical. We were disappointed by their inaccurate cost estimation, which caused twice as much financial stress on moving day. Regarding their delivery process, we received inconsistent information from different representatives at Swift Shift Van Lines: 1) In the initial phone call, we were told that the average delivery time is 3-5 days after pickup. 2) On the moving day, the mover said delivery could occur in 3 days. 3) One day after pickup, another representative said delivery would occur in 1-5 business days. 4) In the last email communication, another representative informed us that delivery would take 5-15 business days. As of today, it is Day 5 after the pickup, and we still have no information regarding the delivery. If you don't want to experience difficult times in an empty apartment without your belongings, do NOT work with Swift Shift Van Lines.
The movers were absolute professionals. They navigated my narrow staircase without a single scratch on the walls or furniture. They worked efficiently but never made me feel rushed, and they took time to check that everything was positioned where I wanted it in my new place. I've moved plenty of times, and this was by far the easiest.
What made this move easier was how well the movers worked together. They handled my family’s belongings from start to end with complete attention. They checked a few details with me before loading and managed the entire trip smoothly. The unloading at the new home went just as well.
The staff was friendly and always willing to answer my questions. Their attention to detail and commitment to good service really stood out throughout the experience.
It was the end of the month and I expected delays, but the crew stuck to the time they promised and called me when they were 20 minutes out. The transparency made it easier for me to coordinate with the cleaners and the landlord. I can’t thank them enough!
They were a first-rate crew. They were prompt, careful, and polite while packing our house. All in all, we had a great time and are glad we went with the full-service bundle and transportation. Highly recommended.
I would suggest this team to anyone who needs help with a move. They made sure to put the furniture in the right spots so I wouldn't have to move it again later by myself. It was clear that these guys have a lot of experience because they knew exactly how to pack the truck. I'm glad the day went so well. The move was finished much earlier than I thought it would be, and I will be hiring them for future relocations.
I moved back to the city to be closer to my friends. The guys loaded the heavy treadmill and the weight rack from the basement. They used straps to keep the parts from shifting around. They make sure to deliver all the things safely to the new place, and this is what they did, and also they placed the treadmill in the house where I wanted it, which I appreciate.
I booked them just to move a few bulky items, and didn’t expect much beyond basic hauling. But Swift Shift Van Lines team took time to wrap and secure each item. They also checked that our floor wouldn’t get scratched while bringing things in. What could’ve been a slapdash job was actually handled with serious care and attention!
