I was amazed by how well the team was able to solve problems. My friends managed to find solutions to some difficult setup challenges so everything would fit just right. They took the same care with every object, large or small.
Our house had a lot of heavy furniture—including an oversized sectional and a marble dining table. Swift Shift Van Lines handled it all with ease. They used lifting straps to carry the heavier items and disassembled the table to make it easier to transport. They wrapped each piece in thick blankets to protect against damage. Watching them lift and carry everything with such skill was impressive. They made moving heavy furniture look effortless, and everything arrived without a scratch.
Despite providing an accurate listing of all our box numbers and furniture, Swift Shift Van Lines tried charging us nearly double the original estimated price, even though our original and moving day inventories were almost identical. We were disappointed by their inaccurate cost estimation, which caused twice as much financial stress on moving day. Regarding their delivery process, we received inconsistent information from different representatives at Swift Shift Van Lines: 1) In the initial phone call, we were told that the average delivery time is 3-5 days after pickup. 2) On the moving day, the mover said delivery could occur in 3 days. 3) One day after pickup, another representative said delivery would occur in 1-5 business days. 4) In the last email communication, another representative informed us that delivery would take 5-15 business days. As of today, it is Day 5 after the pickup, and we still have no information regarding the delivery. If you don't want to experience difficult times in an empty apartment without your belongings, do NOT work with Swift Shift Van Lines.
Compared to a long-distance move, our cross-town move was complicated due to narrow streets, tight building schedules, and a barely functional elevator. The movers handled everything effortlessly, getting us moved in record time while remaining calm and efficient. We're happy to trust them!

After experiencing Swift Shift's services firsthand, I feel compelled to warn others about this company's problematic business practices. What started as an affordable moving solution quickly became a nightmare of hidden fees, poor communication, and accountability issues. Swift Shift initially provided an extremely competitive estimate that was significantly lower than other companies I contacted. This should have been my first red flag. After paying the required non-refundable deposit to "secure" my moving date, the real problems began. On moving day, the actual movers (who, I later learned, were from a completely different third-party company) arrived and immediately informed me that the price would be nearly double the original estimate. They cited additional charges for stairs, distance from the truck, packing materials, and various other fees that were never mentioned in the initial quote. With my belongings already loaded and limited options available, I felt forced to pay the inflated price -- how can you back out on moving day? Tenants were moving in two days after my moving day. Swift Shift knows this is typically the case and exploit. Once the move was underway, getting any information about my shipment became nearly impossible. Phone calls went unreturned and when I did get through, I was hung up on. Promised delivery dates came and went without explanation, and when I did manage to reach someone, they seemed to have no knowledge of my specific situation. The lack of tracking information and constant delays added tremendous stress to an already difficult process. What Swift Shift fails to make clear upfront is that they operate primarily as a broker, not an actual moving company. This means they're essentially a middleman who contracts your move out to other companies. When problems arise - and they will - Swift Shift points fingers at the third-party movers, while those movers claim they're just following Swift Shift's instructions. This creates a frustrating cycle where no one takes responsibility for the issues. Swift Shift was unresponsive to my calls and emails about insurance information. Getting documentation and information about where my items were and when they’d arrive was like pulling teeth. Moving is stressful enough without dealing with misleading, predatory business practices and poor customer service. While Swift Shift's initial estimates might seem attractive, the hidden costs, lack of communication, and accountability issues make them a company I cannot recommend. There are honest, reliable moving companies out there - Swift Shift is not one of them.
My experience with this company was way better than I expected. The team that arrived to help me move began loading all my things. I appreciated the way they listened to my directions for the bedroom setup. All of my belongings are now inside my new apartment, and nothing was damaged. I would book the same service again if needed.
Finding reliable people is tough, but this crew was excellent. They stayed focused and made sure my large collection of power tools got loaded. The price was fair, and the service was top-notch.
My wife and I had a comfortable relocation experience. Alan and his team of 3 were efficient workers and handled everything from packing to delivery exceptionally well. They even reassembled our furniture and reinstalled our TV and fridge for us after delivery – and that too without extra charges. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!
