I had a good experience with the movers. They were very helpful, hard working and cared for our furniture. Communications leading up to the move was clear, but I would have liked to have had a more specific arrival time. No major problems with delivery.
Our representative walked us through the entire process, and there were no surprises He made sure, we did an accurate inventory and they were responsive and available for us at all times.
Before moving, I needed to get rid of a lot of old basement junk and broken furniture. I added their haul-away service to the moving package. The crew quickly removed all the unwanted items right from the basement. This saved me a lot of time and heavy lifting before the actual moving day.
I want to give Swift Shift Van Lines a 5-star review. They went above and beyond to help my family move. The crew was very professional and made sure everything went smoothly. Before using Swift Shift Van Lines, my moving experience was terrible. The customer care representatives were informative on the call and gave me up-to-date information at a fair price. For our relocation, the 4 movers were incredibly efficient and punctual. They breezed through a difficult task. Warm regards!
Right after signing the contract we were funneled off to subcontractors. One in New York and another for delivery in North Carolina. The subcontractors who did the pick up swindled my son out of an additional $363.75 saying more than our 300 cubic feet was used because they couldn't stack boxes on top of furniture. However, when the moving truck arrived in North Carolina, all of the boxes were stacked on furniture in the back of the truck. Second, we paid for packing and unpacking but the guy who delivered was by himself and said he didn't have time to unpack anything. Therefore, we are owed 1/2 of the $300 packing fee.
Jack and James handled our belongings with the utmost care, working swiftly, efficiently, and attentively as they rearranged the furniture, causing no damage. I'm grateful for everything, and I can't imagine having anyone other than Swift Shift Van Lines handle the transfer of your house.
Go ahead and book them if you have a lot of stairs like I do. My new place is on the third floor with no elevator, and I had a heavy treadmill and a weight bench that needed to go up. Those guys didn't complain once, even though it was nearly 90 degrees outside. They just put their heads down and got it done safely. I am seriously impressed with the hustle they showed throughout the entire afternoon.
These guys are great; they get the job done and are kind to boot. The relocation was accomplished rapidly, and all items were treated with the highest care throughout.
