Several vintage items were worrisome. They had a corner protector, foam wrap and crates for the delicate items. They had wrapped them very carefully, and we were very happy that everything arrived safely!
The movers left packing materials, tape, and plastic wraps scattered all over my home. They didn’t bother cleaning up after themselves. I had to spend hours cleaning up the mess they left behind. For the price I paid, I expected them to at least leave my place in decent condition.
Andrew and his companion were kind, and they answered all of my queries. To avoid squashing my breakables, they positioned my hefty boxes at the bottom of the piles.
They were very proactive, working while singing along to the radio, which made the experience seem quite enjoyable.
I do not usually write reviews, but Swift Shift Van Lines was too good. They showed up on time, loaded everything without drama, drove carefully, and unloaded everything exactly where I pointed. That is it. That is the whole story.
DO NOT USE THEM!! they do not tell you the small details that one needs to know, e.g. you cannot update your invoice list once you give it to them, then when the movers show up, they want to charge you more for anything that's not on the list. i refused service because they wanted to charge me DOUBLE the price agreed. they also do not communicate box standards, and want to charge you more for anything that doesn't fit said standard. horrible communication and they will rip you off!!
This team was very efficient with my move; I was surprised how easily it went. They remained very organized throughout.
This move was for a home library. Floor-to-ceiling bookcases and hundreds of books. The movers removed shelves and stacked books flat. They grouped the series together without me asking. Shelves were wrapped and labeled. At delivery, everything went back up in the same order. I did not have to sort titles again. That saved me days of work.
Cannot express my gratitude to their movers for delivering my furniture safely to me. Each piece was covered with padding and wrapped in furniture blankets. There wasn’t a single scratch I detected when I received it all. Bravo to them!
Avoid this moving company at all costs! They were supposed to transport boxes and some furniture from Milwaukee to Seattle within a week, but it has now been a month. When the items finally arrived, they were severely damaged. I strongly advise against using their services.
