I do not usually write reviews, but Swift Shift Van Lines was too good. They showed up on time, loaded everything without drama, drove carefully, and unloaded everything exactly where I pointed. That is it. That is the whole story.
The movers approached the task expertly. They tackled the disassembly and reassembly of my oversized wardrobe with ease, a feat I wouldn’t dare attempt. They completed the job swiftly without compromising on quality. I was pleased with their performance.
The team was very focused on getting the truck loaded up. I was worried about things getting bumped around during the drive, but James and the team made sure the cargo was secure. They stayed on task and didn't take a lot of breaks while they were at my place. It was a relief to see how they handled the transition to the new house.
Swift Shift Van Lines stepped in for a cross-country move when another provider dropped out last minute. What could’ve been a logistical nightmare turned into a smooth process. Every step, from packing to the final delivery, was handled with clockwork precision and a calming presence. Their movers did an amazing job!
The enthusiasm and care shown by Steven and his crew were remarkable. They were very passionate and diligent, and they provided excellent service. They handled our fragile items, such as our crystal chandelier and our silk curtains, with great attention and delicacy. They also had no problem moving our bulky furniture, such as our king-size bed and our sectional couch. They were very strong and capable, and they did not damage anything. They were very impressive and grateful, and they made us feel special and appreciated.
I used them for the move of my parents, and they were very respectful. They seemed to take their time with the heavier items and listened when my parents asked where we should put furniture. The movers' hard work and patience were really appreciated.
Cannot review Swift Shift for moving services as they are just brokers with good sales people who tell you they are giving you a very good price because otherwise one of their trucks will be heading back to Florida empty, thus you are getting a very good deal, but you need to decide quickly. Then they make you pay 30% non-refundable deposit, which is basically their cut for booking the order. What I mostly hold them responsible for is lying to get your business and then contracting the moving companies who leave customers with long lasting frustration, disappointment, loss of trust in the good and reliable service, and damaged and lost items. In our case it was alphamovingservices.com. Once we signed the contract we were directed to the contracted moving company that told us they have their own rules. The lesson learned if we ever need to move again. But for the starters, my first piece of advice would be to hire small company or private movers who you will directly work with from start to finish and who do not make you pay deposits that are not refundable after 48 hrs of booking. Pay attention to not so bright reviews as I'm very puzzled with how Swift Shift got so many when they are not after all just a broker and not the moving company.
The crew was excellent during our apartment renovation. We appreciated our moving coordinator, Michael, for taking the initiative and managing the transfer. He kept us informed and ensured effective delivery and packaging. After packing, they stored our belongings in the company's facility until repairs were complete. I had a very serious and frustrating experience with Swift Shift Van Lines and the moving company they brokered. After major issues during delivery—including erratic and unsafe behavior by movers they literally hired from Craigslist, unreliable delivery timelines which caused us to have to sleep on the floor of an empty house for a week, damage to property and belongings, and pressure to sign paperwork without proper verification and they left without me signing the paperwork which leads me to believe they may have forged my signature (swift shift has still not confirmed they have retrieve this paperwork which is either not signed or bares a false signature)—I attempted multiple times to resolve these matters directly with Swift Shift. They have since stopped responding entirely. I have spoken with attorneys who advised that while the situation appears clearly criminal, the cost of pursuing legal action would likely exceed any recovery. Because of that, the most realistic option left to me is to warn others publicly. This review is written so future customers can make an informed decision and understand the risks involved when using this broker.
The booking process was simple and didn’t take long. On moving day, they came prepared and had all the necessary equipment. They worked steadily and didn’t take unnecessary breaks. I liked that they double-checked items before loading them. The unloading was just as smooth, and they followed instructions properly.
