Moving day made me nervous, but Richard and the staff put me at ease. David carefully labeled and packed my many boxes into the car. He avoided scuffs when loading my sofa through my small front entry, which I appreciated.
Honestly, I thought I would be moving stress with this company with order number MC-2402, but I was pleasantly surprised. The crew arrived with a plan, was confident and did each room one at a time.
They were a first-rate crew. They were prompt, careful, and polite while packing our house. All in all, we had a great time and are glad we went with the full-service bundle and transportation. Highly recommended.
Compared to a long-distance move, our cross-town move was complicated due to narrow streets, tight building schedules, and a barely functional elevator. The movers handled everything effortlessly, getting us moved in record time while remaining calm and efficient. We're happy to trust them!
An absolutely flawless move! The team exhibited unbelievable efficiency and team work. They enquired whether specific items required special handling, a relief for my sentimental pieces before wrapping anything. What really amazed me is how they ensured every box was labeled in a fashion that would make it easy to unpack. Truly thoughtful and skilled movers!
The worst moving company on this planet, and I have moved a lot, including cross continents and cross country. They give you a sale pitch with low price and how no additional fees will possibly occur and once they take your deposit, it all goes down hill. They increased price almost two fold because of changes in inventory of 10 more boxes (75 vs. 65 boxes caused price increase from $2.5k to $4.5k) in a scale of one bedroom apartment move with furniture. The person on the phone doing final inventory was rude and straight up said take $4.5 final or lose your 1k deposit, which also happened right before the move leaving me absolutely no choice but pay double. Then, they said they would provide insurance in advance (required by my building) and in the end I only saw insurance after driver showed up. Company that showed up had their own fees, that were not part of my contract with swift shift van lines, or even explicitly I was told in the contract that I wouldn't pay ("no elevator charge"), that I was forced to pay in advance otherwise they wouldn't start the move. They sent too few people and move took so long, they went over 1 hour outside of the window that my building allowed for moves (which I made company aware multiple times) and caused serious friction with management in my building. Upon arrival of my stuff across the country, additional fees were imposed that were not part of my contract (which I was forced to pay if I wanted to get my stuff back) for the total of $5.1k (vs. $2.5k quote I received when I started talking to them). Cherry on top - they made me sign inventory before they delivered and then they lost an electric scooter worth $1.3k and did absolutely nothing about it! I got back $20 from insurance claim!!! Multiple items were also damaged. Not a single lamp survived their "white glove" service. Absolutely, not under a gun point would I ever agree or recommend this company to anyone.
Truck #T-610 was loaded with order #IN-11934 in an efficient manner. All wooden tables were covered with corner protectors and heavy duty stretch film was used around large wooden sectional items to stop dirt and moisture from accumulating.
Swift Shift Van Lines really delivered. The movers wrapped fragile things properly, lifted wardrobes carefully, and managed tight hallways without a single bump. They stayed cheerful all day, and that attitude made the move a lot easier to handle.
What impressed me most was how the team worked together. I was moving to a new place closer to my job, and they made the process simple. The crew arrived with all the supplies, loaded my items carefully, and managed the drive without delay. The work was done within the time we discussed. They really made the process much easier, and I will use them again if I ever need to move
I had a good experience with the movers. They were very helpful, hard working and cared for our furniture. Communications leading up to the move was clear, but I would have liked to have had a more specific arrival time. No major problems with delivery.
