I stored some of my belongings in their storage facility to paint my home. After the work was completed, I called them to deliver the items back to me. The crew meticulously delivered my antique dining set the very next day. This service was exceptionally reliable, which is very rare. If you need them, please use them.
I had a good experience with the movers. They were very helpful, hard working and cared for our furniture. Communications leading up to the move was clear, but I would have liked to have had a more specific arrival time. No major problems with delivery.
Cannot review Swift Shift for moving services as they are just brokers with good sales people who tell you they are giving you a very good price because otherwise one of their trucks will be heading back to Florida empty, thus you are getting a very good deal, but you need to decide quickly. Then they make you pay 30% non-refundable deposit, which is basically their cut for booking the order. What I mostly hold them responsible for is lying to get your business and then contracting the moving companies who leave customers with long lasting frustration, disappointment, loss of trust in the good and reliable service, and damaged and lost items. In our case it was alphamovingservices.com. Once we signed the contract we were directed to the contracted moving company that told us they have their own rules. The lesson learned if we ever need to move again. But for the starters, my first piece of advice would be to hire small company or private movers who you will directly work with from start to finish and who do not make you pay deposits that are not refundable after 48 hrs of booking. Pay attention to not so bright reviews as I'm very puzzled with how Swift Shift got so many when they are not after all just a broker and not the moving company.
Communication and service from Scott & Robert were top-notch. They made two trips in a row and were always on time, friendly, quick, thorough, and nice. Great service and a strong commitment to their work.
The hardest part was our chicken coop in the backyard. Swift Shift Van Lines helped move it carefully and even made sure the panels stayed together. It was an odd job, but the movers completed it in no time.
I recently downsized from a house to a condo and had way more to donate or throw away than I thought. I was worried it would slow everything down, but the movers didn't make a fuss. They helped load donation boxes separately and made sure everything I was keeping got handled carefully. I felt supported the whole day, and that made letting go of things easier.
