Despite my worries about cancellation fees, the office staff was courteous. Instead of costing me a lot, they helped me find a new date that suited my schedule. Moving day began with the same optimism. The entire experience felt supportive rather than transactional. In a field with strict regulations, I appreciated such flexibility.
They managed to load the entire house into the truck quicker than I thought possible. No yelling, no rushing, just steady work. All the stuff was tied down and secured before they pulled off. They knew what they were doing.
I had a bunch of seasonal decorations in a shed near the woods, and they had to be moved to a cleared spot closer to the house for sorting. The movers pulled the large boxes out carefully so branches wouldn’t snag them. They placed each group where I pointed and didn’t crowd the space.
Swift Shift Van Lines is a moving Broker. Something their agent did not tell us when we were on the phone. The agent also said our belongings would be stored in the state we were moving to; the mover that arrived said our belonging were going to be stored in another state. Also the agent under estimated the space we would need for our belongings, so the initial price was acceptable; when the mover arrived the space needed and price went up by alot. The link for the estimate expired by the time the mover arrived (something they do not inform you of). The mover showed up at 815pm on the second day, within the two day window. They contacted us several times moving the pick up time; but showing up that late is not good business management or respectful to the customer. When we were told the new moving cost estimate; we attempted to call Swift Shift Van Lines and were going to cancel and see about a refund, but no one answered. We would not under any circumstance recommend Swift Shift Van Lines.
The team made it simple for us to depart our ranch home. The team executed flawless packing of the truck as they carefully wrapped all pieces of wooden furniture with the precision of skilled Tetris players.
Appreciate how they listened the first time I explained where things should go. I did not have to repeat myself again and again, which made the whole process smoother for me.
We were in the process of moving into our house, which had just been renovated, so I was extremely worried about the walls and floors. The movers took great care in moving all the things in. They spared no time with the larger pieces of furniture and did not cause any damage.
I don’t enjoy moving, but the crew made it easier than I expected. They arrived on time, handled the heavy lifting, and kept everything straightforward. The job was done smoothly from start to finish.
I was thoroughly impressed at how efficiently the moving crew tackled the challenge of transporting things to a high-rise apartment (on the 5th floor). Since the elevator was out due to power outage, I was a bit concerned that they would put things off, but they took the task head-on and safely carried everything up into my apartment through the stairs. Not a single piece was scratched or harmed in any way. I am grateful beyond measure!
