This move was part of a bigger life change, so I just wanted it handled without extra drama. They showed up, did the job properly, and left me with one less thing to worry about.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
The finest movers we’ve hired in a while! They showed up on time, had all the tools they needed, and immediately started packing room by room in an efficient manner. They also kept me updated throughout, and even offered to help with unpacking later. Delivery came within the window promised, and not a single item was scratched. Well done!
Punctuality is important to me, and the movers arrived exactly at 10:50 AM, as promised. They greeted me with a smile and quickly walked through the house to understand what needed to be done. I appreciated how they asked small questions like where to park the truck and which boxes were high-priority. They were polite throughout and cracked a few jokes to lighten the mood. The entire move felt friendly and stress-free.
When it rained quite hard, the movers went to work to make sure our hardwood floors were taken care of! They installed protective runners in the hallways and put shoe covers on to prevent mud from being tracked in the hallways.
I asked Swift Shift Van Lines to move my baking equipment to a different kitchen. They loaded the mixers, trays, and boxes of ingredients without rushing. Everything ended up in the right place when they were done unloading.
They've done a nice job conserving our big appliances. Everything was packed securely, the washer, dryer and fridge, no dents or scratches. Satisfied customer.
Compared to a long-distance move, our cross-town move was complicated due to narrow streets, tight building schedules, and a barely functional elevator. The movers handled everything effortlessly, getting us moved in record time while remaining calm and efficient. We're happy to trust them!
The movers were patient, spoke clearly, and handled his belongings with respect. There were a lot of little things that mattered to him, and they packed everything with extra care. He was really happy with how everything arrived, and so was I, honestly. It was a huge relief.
It is difficult to move while two children are racing around. Without asking me to handle the problem for them, the team managed to get everything done despite the chaos at my residence.
