It is rare to find a company that is this organized. Every person on the crew knew their job, and they worked together like a well-oiled machine.
I helped my cousin relocate her photography studio, which involved transporting camera gear, backdrops, light stands, and some very delicate equipment. I was nervous at first, but the movers handled everything with total awareness. They listened carefully, packed with intention, and didn’t rush through anything. I could tell they’ve moved specialty items before. Honestly, the whole experience felt more like a partnership than just a service.
My cousin’s piano was moved with the help of Swift Shift Van Lines. They rolled it onto the truck, strapped it tight, and unloaded it smoothly in his new garage. The bike looked just like it did before the move.
It was Jack and Johnson who did the best work for Swift Shift Van Lines. Being honest at all times: Their skilled packing and transportation ensured the safe relocation. They worked quickly and well to finish the job.
I booked these guys for a move from one apartment to another, and I'm glad I did. The crew came in, got started, and kept things organized without making it complicated. I had a few small changes during the day, and they adjusted without any issue. The whole process was handled in a calm and professional way. I didn't have to keep checking on things or reminding anyone what to do. It was handled properly, and I would use them again without hesitation.
The worst moving company on this planet, and I have moved a lot, including cross continents and cross country. They give you a sale pitch with low price and how no additional fees will possibly occur and once they take your deposit, it all goes down hill. They increased price almost two fold because of changes in inventory of 10 more boxes (75 vs. 65 boxes caused price increase from $2.5k to $4.5k) in a scale of one bedroom apartment move with furniture. The person on the phone doing final inventory was rude and straight up said take $4.5 final or lose your 1k deposit, which also happened right before the move leaving me absolutely no choice but pay double. Then, they said they would provide insurance in advance (required by my building) and in the end I only saw insurance after driver showed up. Company that showed up had their own fees, that were not part of my contract with swift shift van lines, or even explicitly I was told in the contract that I wouldn't pay ("no elevator charge"), that I was forced to pay in advance otherwise they wouldn't start the move. They sent too few people and move took so long, they went over 1 hour outside of the window that my building allowed for moves (which I made company aware multiple times) and caused serious friction with management in my building. Upon arrival of my stuff across the country, additional fees were imposed that were not part of my contract (which I was forced to pay if I wanted to get my stuff back) for the total of $5.1k (vs. $2.5k quote I received when I started talking to them). Cherry on top - they made me sign inventory before they delivered and then they lost an electric scooter worth $1.3k and did absolutely nothing about it! I got back $20 from insurance claim!!! Multiple items were also damaged. Not a single lamp survived their "white glove" service. Absolutely, not under a gun point would I ever agree or recommend this company to anyone.
Our move was smooth because the team was so proactive. They laid down floor runners as soon as they entered. They had a system for loading the truck that maximized space. At the new house, they asked detailed questions about placement, which saved me from rearranging later. I was genuinely impressed.
I live in a 2 bedroom apartment across town, and Swift Shift Van Lines was very professional and competent. They were careful and quick with our fragile things. Keep up the good work, guys!
They mishandled my refrigerator and washer during the move, leaving dents and scratches on both. When I pointed it out, they said it was my fault for not wrapping them, even though I paid extra for their professional wrapping service. I felt cheated and angry.
