Everything went smoothly, and I'm extremely pleased with how they handled the relocation. Very Smooth Transition!
Right after signing the contract we were funneled off to subcontractors. One in New York and another for delivery in North Carolina. The subcontractors who did the pick up swindled my son out of an additional $363.75 saying more than our 300 cubic feet was used because they couldn't stack boxes on top of furniture. However, when the moving truck arrived in North Carolina, all of the boxes were stacked on furniture in the back of the truck. Second, we paid for packing and unpacking but the guy who delivered was by himself and said he didn't have time to unpack anything. Therefore, we are owed 1/2 of the $300 packing fee.
The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. Communication was inconsistent, and the entire process felt poorly managed. I expected a much higher level of service.
A big thank you to the staff for being so patient and kind. My move involved a lot of small details, but they managed the whole thing without any complaints. I am very satisfied with the work.
Swift Shift Van Lines is a moving Broker. Something their agent did not tell us when we were on the phone. The agent also said our belongings would be stored in the state we were moving to; the mover that arrived said our belonging were going to be stored in another state. Also the agent under estimated the space we would need for our belongings, so the initial price was acceptable; when the mover arrived the space needed and price went up by alot. The link for the estimate expired by the time the mover arrived (something they do not inform you of). The mover showed up at 815pm on the second day, within the two day window. They contacted us several times moving the pick up time; but showing up that late is not good business management or respectful to the customer. When we were told the new moving cost estimate; we attempted to call Swift Shift Van Lines and were going to cancel and see about a refund, but no one answered. We would not under any circumstance recommend Swift Shift Van Lines.
Moving from our old home to our new three-bedroom house was made so much easier by the movers. They were quick, careful, and very professional. Excellent service!
The team arrived at my old address in the morning, and they were ready to work immediately. I had a lot of small boxes and bags that needed to be moved into my new condo out of the city. I am satisfied with the result, and nothing was damaged during the entire move today.
Everything in my third-floor flat had to be transferred across town. Due to my heavy wooden dining table and bed frame, the process made me anxious. The crew worked quickly yet carefully and arrived on time. My bed was carefully disassembled and reassembled at the new location. They protected my fragile vases and dishes with blankets. I noticed how well they communicated during the move. I was very pleased with the service!
My move was just one couch, two chairs, and 10 boxes, but the crew treated it like a big job. Everything was packed neatly. I’d definitely use them again.
These guys are the real deal. I had a last-minute move and called 3 other companies, who were booked. Swift Shift Van Lines had a cancellation and fit me in. The crew worked until 7 PM to get me finished. They moved my large sectional sofa up a tight staircase by taking it apart first. It was a long day for them, but they never complained. I'm so grateful.
