They worked faster than I expected while still paying close attention to detail. From carefully stowing each item away to taking doors off their hinges as needed, their expertise shone through in every detail.
We were successfully moved in today by Anthony and his coworkers. Everything is in its proper place in the house; nothing has broken. They were all friendly and helpful.
I hired them to just move my oversized, heavy safe. That’s it. Most companies said no or quoted a crazy price. Swift Shift Van Lines said, "Sure, we do that." They brought the right equipment, moved it from my basement to my new basement office, and bolted it down for me. They didn’t mind that it was a weird, small job. They just did it perfectly.
The team handled our move-out from an apartment building in the busy downtown area where parking is a huge issue. The driver parked the truck well in the loading area without blocking traffic and the crew finished clearing out our unit of 2 bed units before the arranged time.
I had a very serious and frustrating experience with Swift Shift Van Lines and the moving company they brokered. After major issues during delivery—including erratic and unsafe behavior by movers they literally hired from Craigslist, unreliable delivery timelines which caused us to have to sleep on the floor of an empty house for a week, damage to property and belongings, and pressure to sign paperwork without proper verification and they left without me signing the paperwork which leads me to believe they may have forged my signature (swift shift has still not confirmed they have retrieve this paperwork which is either not signed or bares a false signature)—I attempted multiple times to resolve these matters directly with Swift Shift. They have since stopped responding entirely. I have spoken with attorneys who advised that while the situation appears clearly criminal, the cost of pursuing legal action would likely exceed any recovery. Because of that, the most realistic option left to me is to warn others publicly. This review is written so future customers can make an informed decision and understand the risks involved when using this broker.
Mixed feelings. The SSV are brokers. We were quoted a price. the moving company they hired were rated 1 star and demanded more money than quoted and refused to deliver some pieces of furniture. The delivery dates quoted by SSV were 5-10 days. The movers they hired stated 7-10 business days the actually delivery time was 16 business days. The boxes were not securely stored as when they were delivered some boxes were torn, massive holes where items were spilling out, a gross liquid spilled over 5. The men packing up and delivering were different. The delivery people were nice, quick and didn't try to scam more money out of us like the pick up crew did. I feel betrayed about all moving companies from this experience. Good luck to everyone who uses this company and I suggest finding out who they hire as movers before signing so you do not get a low rate mover through this broker.
We had a great experience with Swift Shift Van Lines. The movers were friendly, courteous, efficient and hard workers. They were a pleasure to work with and we are very glad we went with Swift Shift Van Lines.
Incredible movers! They were especially careful with my delicate glassware, wrapped them skillfully, and provided me with special boxes. They took apart my large, old wardrobe and put it back together again flawlessly, which was like a cherry on top. They genuinely cared for my priceless possessions.
Finding dependable help for a move is not always easy. This crew handled the job for me, and I'm thankful I called them. The house had boxes everywhere, and I honestly didn't know where to start that morning. Having people there to take care of the moving part helped a lot. I could focus on getting my paperwork and keys sorted while they handled the rest. The whole move was much easier than trying to do it alone.
William and his group were supportive and experts at their work. They packed and wrapped everything in foam sheets, bubble wrap and cartons of different sizes. I'm very happy to hire them because my move went very smoothly.
